well ive decided to come back. because after the new changes i hear this game is a lot better. so im going to give it another try. but i need some help. which class would you say is the best for PVP, and which is the best for PVE? i was thinking of starting a paladin, but im sure that their most likely not that great for PVP. by the way is the community social, and is there a lot of people in the game, or is it just deserted? i look forward to comming back, thanks.

Yeah right now fury, Necro, or Conjuror are your best bet in PVP, all classes are useful just like in PVE but if you really want to shine 1on1 one of those will do you good.
hmm, yeah i think your right. i even heard a lot about the fury, so your probably right by saying that they will be nerfed. plus a fury doesnt really sound like the one for me, i was thinking maybe a rogue type character or spell caster. are the healers demanded in pvp? and what about offensive spellcasting? which is the best for that?
sorry about all the questions, just want to make sure i know what im getting myself into before i just jump right in.
Regarding PvE, there really is no "best" class, they just all do it differently, thusly:
Fighters: tanks that can stand toe-to-toe with a mob and take a beating. They have Taunts to get the mob to face them, but have low DPS. Guardians have the best defense, Monks have the best DPS and use avoidance to not get hit.
Scout: melee or ranged attacks for medium to high damage. Armor is not as good as a fighter, but they can withstand some pounding. They have stealth, tracking, the the Bard line has many songs of buff/debuff.Rangers are masters with a bow, while Assassins have the single highest melee rear-attack.
Mage: tissue-paper thin armor means they drop fast, but their high DPS balances it out. Wizard/Warlock have the highest DPS, Conjurer/Necromancers use summoned elemental pets, Enchanters mezmerize, stifle, and stun the enemy (think crowd control).
Priest: healers of all flavors. The Templars wear plate armor but have terrible DPS and have large, single-shot heals. Warden/Fury have many self/party buffs and Heal over Time (HoT).
This is just a general overview, each class has specific abilities that make it unique. Everyone can effectively solo and all are useful in a group.
There would not be a "best" class for PvP, because it is determined by many other factors:
- Your gear upgrades
- Your spell upgrades
- Your level
- Enemy level
- Type of enemy
- Difference between those 2 levels
- Number of enemies in the group
- Player skill
- Who your grouped with and their skill and upgrades
- Spells refreshed
