Destiny 2 News - The Destiny 2 player community has been complaining via Reddit about what it perceives as intentional squelching of XP at max level when players earn Bright Engrams, essentially the loot box for D2. These can contain emotes, ships and sparrows. Breaking its silence, Bungie has acknowledged that this "throttling" of XP at max level was indeed in place and that it would be deactivating the system immediately.

Looks like Mike got caught trying to steal from mom's purse again. Bad boy. Lol Gotta love the cookie cutter response when companies get caught trying to screw people over. Its almost like EA and Activision have the same PR firm.

I agree it's an awesome game but smaller than an expansion of Destiny 1. Again this ties up to the greed they will sell the rest of the game in portions.

I haven't bought destiny 2 since to me its just a crappy fps game, but, of course they are going to throttle the xp if you can buy the thing in the cash shop, its cash shop 101: make it annoying to earn for free so people spend real money to get the same thing. Honestly if people didn't catch on they would have quietly left the system in, as it was done on purpose as to drive people to the cash shop. Why people would buy loot boxes for skins that offer no gameplay benefits at all is beyond me though. I know i'd not spend anything on them as I couldn't care less about a diffrent texture on my char. This is just one of the many shady things gaming devs do these days to try to get extra income. I miss the times that when you bought a game you got the whole package. Now a days you buy a game and half of its missing, especally if its a AAA game, and your expected to shell out more to get what used to be there by default.

Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:

    A. Proven right (if something bad happens)

    or

    B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)

Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!

i think it's more the publisher than the dev's that wants to put in these shady tricks, but yes. Pc\Console games is slowly turning into candy crush

They probably do. It's a shame that companies like EA and Activision have to explain their behavior once after they start getting bad press. Honestly, the so called "AAA" gaming industry really needs to be sent on a timeout in the corner for their bad behavior.
