Albion Online has been updated with the large "Kay" update that brings a number of Guild vs Guild battle changes and much more to the game. To provide an introduction to Kay, Sandbox Interactive has release this new launch trailer.

    It's tragic how this game had great potential, was on the right track even in late beta for a success (for the niche that it was), and then shot itself in the head just before release with the world-changing design patch. So many loyal players knew the central city idea would destroy the game, both from a in-game economy perspective AND a hardware perspective. People complained about it in the forums, and then the game was released, and the game just collapsed under the weight of the untested new design. Now we're seeing the prices go down already for the packages by a whopping 33%. I'd like to say I wish them luck, but I don't, because they destroyed their own creation and deserve to reap the consequences.

    I am coming back to Albion after a 3 month break to see the new Kay Update. On Saturday the true test will arrive as the territory wars will truly test the optimization of large scale combat. If the combat is a dud, then I fear greatly for Albion.
