Zera seems like a good game to me. It's in Korean, but it appears that there really aren't any good English open betas. www.zeranexus.com is a great site that helps you sign up and most of the people on that site are on the same server, so there's more english speaking people to talk to in the game.
Here's the sign up guide on the site:
http://www.zeranexus.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=63The confirmation code required to register an account (as in those boxes that tell you to type in what you see) has been changed from only numbers to Korean characters. I created a guide on the site to get the confirmation codes without having to install the language packs here:
http://www.zeranexus.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=167HOWEVER the site that contains a list of Korean characters went down so heh, this guide is kind of useless. If somebody has a link to a site that contains the Korean alphabet then please inform me. Anyway, if you need help with the code there are people on the site that know how to get codes without my method.
The official site is here:
http://zera.nexon.com/zera2/page/gnx.aspxAll I can say is the game is pretty cool. You don't need a KSSN to register either. However, since they changed the confirmation code from numbers to the Korean alphabet, they seem to be trying to keep non-Koreans out of the game. So try to sign up now before they might require a KSSN to register.
Comments
If I can't read the site, then I can't play it. The in-game menu's etc will also prob be korean, as will the players.
For someone who cares about graphic a lot - me, I still don't look forward to it that much. What they have this time? elf with changed ears? lol.
If anyone who make a MMO without grinding first, won't be korean.
And I hate those ears
The screenshots are nice, but really don't wanna play game in a NON-ENspeaking country, since having some experiences of being PKed by local players without any reasons other than speaking EN .
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
How can you ask this question without answering yourself immediately?
It's in Korean yes and the content is rather similiar to other Korena MMORPG's and after playing it awhile it just feels like another Korean MMORPG clone.
Would've been nice if Koreans did not follow the same core concept when it comes to MMORPG's, grinding and button mashing.
Huxley seems rather decent though.

2) The game is in Korean
3) You have to install a language pack to see something other than Korean (and hope that it works the first time)
4) It's an FPS essentially. Run around and kills stuff.... *yawn*
5) No persistant world, your actions don't have any effect on the world.
Those are my reasons why I would not consider playing this game.
Are you guys serious about the graphics? This game can lag my 256 MB ATI Raedon and 1 Gig RAM CPU, and most games I play can't do that. Sure it's in Korean but I didn't ask why there isn't a huge number of people playing this game, that's obvious, I'm wondering why more people aren't playing it. Many people play Holy Beast Online (and correct me if I'm wrong) and that game is in Korean (?). Anyhow what I'm trying to get at is this game doesn't seem to get enough attention.
Edit:
1) The site to sign up is in Korean.
Well, there's a sign-up guide that's easy to follow, even though the confirmation code is harder to get now, you got me there.
2) The game is in Korean.
Yeah the major drawback of the game, but zeranexus has a lot of people who can explain things and an english speaking guild.
3) You have to install a language pack to see something other than Korean (and hope that it works the first time)
No you don't.
4) It's an FPS essentially. Run around and kills stuff.... *yawn*
Thanks for summarizing MMOs.
5) No persistant world, your actions don't have any effect on the world.
Still pretty early in BETA, but there really arent many open BETAs out there right now that have guild created towns and such, I don't know what else you really mean. This game does have guilds though.
Lagging PC doesn't necessarily mean it has more advanced graphic. Bad coding for all we know.
My /flex is an AoE stun.
Solely duels. There isn't much content either at the moment.
It's also not a game worth to pay for, but since there aren't any good mmorpgs out there for me, and the ones I'm waiting for are far away from being released, ZerA is a good way to spend some time on, since it's fun to play due to the gameplay and graphics.
In regards of the language: ZerA is very simple. The few things you gotta know can be easily learned.
If you don't like asian mmorpgs though, then it's definitely nothing for you since there really isn't something new.

In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
