We sat down with Rogue_5 at the Indy summit for some Q&A. We also had Galactic Senator Psychopyro call in to give us the lowdown on the LA Summit.

I listened to the Pyschopro part of the show. He comes across on the forums as much more of an all accepting fan than he did in the interview. I was glad to hear his concerns about whether or not SOE will actually do what they promised.

I'm not sure I'll listen to Rogue_5's section. I had high hopes a big Star Wars fan would do much more to bring things together, but he has only posted alot recently, when he should have been talking to the community all along as Helios is doing. I've been really disappointed in Rogue_5.

I look at the Summit postings and the pictures of the fans and think how many more people would have loved to go to something like that a year ago. I keep wondering why they have done the Summits and part of me says they just want to heal the wounds with the remaining community so everyone can move forward, part of me says they wanted to tidy things up before E3 so they looked better in the eyes of the larger gaming community.

By the way the Snuggly Bear/Bionic show was a good one.

Give the Rogue_5 part a listen.

I got a chance to spend some time with him both doing the interview and after the show. He truely does care about the game and bringing people quality publishes.

I do think they wanted to heal the wounds from the lack of communication thus the reasons for the summits. They realize they botched the release of the NGE and it seems they are really intent on getting fans input.

Glad you liked the Snuggly Bear/Bionic call. I love to hear what is on the mind of different players.

Hey AdmRiker444, Fariq asks good questions. I'm glad he got his interviews, plus he was at Indy himself (right?) and so I'll go ahead and hear the rest of the show. Nothing wrong with him wanting to add to the scintillating discussions here as well.

See I knew you were a good guy. Have you tried Auto Assault yet? Don't know why but it reminds me of SWG pre CU for some reason. Well probably because you can target stuff but at the same time if something gets in the way of your bullets they still hit. The crafting is a lot simpler than SWG's was but it is kind of similar to me. Haven't liked a game so much since EQ. It's simple yet fun and deep enough to keep your interest.

yeah Im playing AA now along with CoH. Good game for some quick fun. I got into the beta and was pretty pleased with it. Id say one of the cleaner games Ive seen in beta, very few issues

Rogue_5 sounds like he cares because he's had three years of tutelage on how to look/sound concerned for the state of the game at $OE!

I'm certain his paycheck comes first, which means keeping his mouth shut and head down and doing what the boss says no matter how insane or depraved.

Anyone who's played SWG for a year or more will know that these jokers always talk about the future as in "what will happen" and "what will be fixed". 90% of thier customers realized by the NGE it's no more than hot air as after 3 years things only got buggier and worse. In 3 years I've heard the same BS and nothing ever came of it, but this guy sounds sincere? Please........pass the pipe someone?

Agree with you. I cant understand how some players can go around saying "Well a dev said this." and expect it to be true. They have been "going to do" alot but they never do. Its always 6 months out of reach.

Right after the NGE they said 6 months to fix it all. 6 Months has passed and they only 10% of it done. At this rate, the game should be fixed and working by 2010.

You forgot to mention that despite the bugs being eliminated by 10% by 2010 that thier new "content and revamps" will have actually increased the number of bugs by a net of 900% by 2010!

But don't worry because they have a cunning plan to turn it all around within 6 months.....................and then they'll start on that smuggler revamp!

Anyone else notice that since they announced all these new publish plans, had all these summits, talked about all the feedback they have received, the stratics chat Q and A they had that 2 things stick out...

1. All they are doing is rehashing the same stuiff over and over.

2. They keep asking players for feeedback about what they would liek to see, and once the players tell them what they want, they say it wont be coming back, but help us fic what hwe have now.

Most noticably on point 2 someone asked julio about the GUI coming back and being redone. This apparently was brough up a few times. Juilos response was we wont be bringing it back, but tell us how to fix the new one...

Ya know, ive never ran a billion dollar company.. I would guess if I asked my consumer base what I could do to fix something, once I got the feedback I would set out fixing it. Why ask the question if you dont care for their answers?

Look, I just came back to check out the latest news from the forums a few days ago (no, I did not resubscribe). I am glad there are people enjoying the game, but the forums are still packed with a majority of players telling soe that this game is terrible, some of which posting 20 point arguments for why this system is fundmentally flawed.

I don't know about some of you refugees out there, but I was personally erked when the tired guy went on his tirade about how "if ya don't like it, play something else," tirade. I am playing something else, but I still think this game was far superior to any other system in it's last two implementations. To hear someone (on a broadcast I actually bothered to listen to) tell us to stfu and leave, is both insulting, and the last thing SOE wants to happen right now (let's face it, the pops are not increasing much other than alts, and my former guildies and friends confirm this on Chimeara), because they need the subs.

So, great...you guys are still playing the game and having a good time, but my guess is you had a better time when you were playing the old systems, and weren't complete lackies to SOE.

Case in point? People here were impressed with Pyschopyro having "doubts." You interview SOE's former corr who loved the NGE from day one....

My point was why are they people posting on the offical forums that hate the game. If I don't like something I don't play it and I sure as hell don't hang around to complain about why I am not playing it.
