Jumping into PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox One this week, almost immediately I was met with something that just didn’t look or feel right. Having logged over 150 hours on the PC version, I went into PUBG on my Xbox One X expecting the same fevered gameplay with the obvious compromises consoles bring with them - controller in a reactive shooter, 30 frames per second and a reduction in visual quality. What I got, however, was worse than you could probably imagine.

    PUBG runs like unoptimized trash on PC, so its no surprise it runs as unoptimized trash on console. That game is overhyped and probably will never run smooth on anything.

    Quite simply: Money...

    MS and Bluehole want to captilize on the massive popularity of PUBG, so they want it up for sale on XBox as fast as possible, before some new FOTM game appears...

    Not surprised that it's running like shit on console... Consoles are horrible pieces of equipment. That said, optimizations on PC while during its early access/beta haven't been that great but they have improved along the way, dramatically. I wouldn't expect much difference on consoles between now and its launch. They're weak pieces of hardware.

    A console can only do so much based on the parts it uses.  It's a medium range PC after all.

    Because Bluehole is a bad developer that just happened to have a good idea at the right time?

    This isn't another case of Overwatch vs. Paladins. We don't have inferior free products leeching a few million users off of a superior paid product. No, we have the first big, free product claiming the lime light and actually being a superior game with more polish and better optimization. If this continues and other, better alternatives continue to be launched, PUBG's lack of quality and optimization will make it gaming's largest ever fad.

    I don't think it's the case. It's unoptimized because Epic is not collaborate with Bluehole about the Unread Engine 4. Epic wants to be 1 number one with their knock off game Fortnite.
    It's not a ethical approach from Epic, I hope they realize what are they doing and don't sabotage the Pubg anymore.
    I love Bluehole they made a Tera and it was optimized. I repeat myself I think problem is Epic Games.

    Fortnite is already more popular on console. Probably will be even moreso if these guys don't get this running better.

    The game needs work obviously hence why it is being sold in the Preview program. However it runs well enough on my X one X and I am enjoying the crap out of it. I assume it will only get better from here.......hopefully lol

    You could buy an XB1X or 2 XB1s for the price of that video card alone.  

    Not really a well planned out game if it only runs "well" on the extremely high end systems.

    Yeah it is pretty janky, but also a lot of fun. Alpha, yay!

    It is almost in launch state, so I would say at this point any issues are pretty unacceptable, regardless of what platform.

    Low quality game? I haven't played it but my brother and brother in law have nothing but good things to say about this game.
