Hi all,
I 1st tried WWII Online over a year ago. I thought it was a great game even though lacking in the graphics department. I never really gave it a fair try.
I am thinking about trying it again. I see there is a free 14 day trial currently in effect and wanted to know what has changed since it was re released.
If I come back I hope to join a squad and get quite into it. My ideal role would be a Gunner on a bomber.
Thanks
-Pappy

Paratroopers have been added.
Snipers have been added.
The Tiger tank has been added.
Divisions have been added. No longer is it just capture one town after the another. Now actual divisions with brigades are located on the map and if a brigade isn't in a town then it can't be defended. Now both sides try and cut each others divisions off and route them.
It's pappy! welcome back mate
The grafics have signiffically improved, as have gameplay (IMO). The next patch 1.23 will hold the new first person hands among other things (I belive you heard about those).
Also expect the first part of Server tracked objects/ordinance server to come at this patch.
They are focusing alot on making the game look better, also they recently said that the new grafic engine is now in a playable state (not done mind you, just in a state where rickb could use it to play).
With the 14 day trial I have nothing to lose...
Now all I need is to decied on Allied or Axis and find a nice squad.
Any good flying squads based in the UK?
I need a nice gunner seat..
Or a nice cosey AA nest
I also have to admit from what I remember WWII Online has the most mature and friendly player base.
I'm a new player not planning on signing up inititally.
But after reading the posts, well I think I'll give the trial a shot.
Just wondering, which one is more popular? Allies or Axis? I will want to go the less popular side
Axis is the most popular, so play allied
