It has been a great year for Black Desert Online. They’ve continued to put out new classes and new content. This year at Gamescom they showed off what the 4k console version of BDO looks like and its graphics are incredibly lifelike. This was also the year the game released on Steam, giving it a massive boost in player numbers. Oh, and Pearl Abyss says they’d like BDO to last another 20-30 years! This is fantastic news for anyone who has seen their favorite game shut down. All in all, it was a great year for Black Desert Online and we can’t wait for next year.

Its not really a sandbox game, its definitely a themepark but it does have a few features that you find in sandbox games, access to different areas is level based and there is a quest line you follow up to around level 50 or so, doing dailies is also a part of it if you want to gain contrib xp etc. But its a great game, even if currently both Striker and Mystic are a bit OP, hopefully they will fix that in the near future :)

Well deserved and I look forward to seeing the game expand even more in 2018.

BDO is pretty much the quintessential example of a sandbox that's only a sandbox because there is nothing worthwhile to do.

I do not agree with their Final Fantasy XIV choice, although I love the series they have done nothing but kill the online version IMO.

But most the other games ESO / Black Desert, are currently the best IMO unless backed Ashes / Crow Fall, and PUBG is awesome.

Although I wouldn't vote Warframe as being the worst, I think it needs changes, I like the game I just don't like the customization options or style of the game being so fully robotic lol.

BDO is more themepark than most themeparks.

BDO really isn't a sandbox, but the Character Customization is done awesome one of the best Korean MMORPG that isn't totally pay 2 Enjoy it costs $15 a month you can edit customize any time you like, and costumes are between $20-$30 a costume it's not bad at all considering games like Game OF War charge so much more for nothing.

Dark Fall, is still the best Sandbox MMORPG IMO, I have never found any game like it except for Crow Fall, and maybe Ashes currently no good Sandbox MMORPG exist.

If someone actually wants to give Black Desert Online a try, I still got Full Game keys for a free full edition to the game open if people send PM.
