imagePlayer Generosity Nets Nearly $120K for Fallen CCP Dev's Family - EVE Online - MMORPG.com

EVE Online News - In December, CCP Games lost one of its own when CCP Blaze passed away suddenly. To honor his memory and to assist his fiancee and young daughter, CCP asked players to help out by purchasing a special Blaze Squadron Skin for 495 PLEX. The results of the memorial effort are in. Thanks to the generosity of EVE Online players, CCP will be sending $119,828.50 to Blaze's family on behalf of the community.

    i farm my plex in game and buy this skins for participate...good to see my time in game can be transformed to real currencies for this sort of moment! :) again, ccp and eve community +1

    Yeah well they didn't do shit when we asked them about another death of a very popular eve player. This is what happened https://crossingzebras.com/targamarr-rip/ .     Difference being, this was for an EVE employee, hence the campaign

    Indeed this is the 1 way street that is starting to get nauseating. Hey you guys "the customers" "the general public" give us money, give us money give us money. May I ask how much money did CCP layout that was for their own employee tragic death. Don't get me wrong I am all about helping others in need I am just tired of the burden of it being constantly put upon the public or the customer.

    How is it that all of the employees of CCP didnt donate a paycheck to help the family of their fallen coworker...where are they when one of their customer dies.

    Take Take Take, and no i am not blaming the company because actually a company is the people who work there, is them the people I blame.

    one has to keep in mind that eve runs on about 400k players "only" :)
