PvP full dry loot at that, so you and most everyone else will pass. Its still an impossibly hard pill for most everyone to swallow. But these guys keep trying.

Do you have to do PVP all the time? Is it forced upon you daily or can you engage in PVP only in wars and with Guilds? I like some PVP that is not full loot, but full loot makes me fearful lol.

You have to wrap your head around wearing gear you can lose and easily replace. You aren't losing things you have raided for hours to get or that you got at "level 40" and going back to level 1 gear. I still hate getting ganked and losing everything but I always have an extra set in the bank. It is easier to replace the gear than other games.

What are the major differences between them and what has changed since Darkfail to make them not the worst games I've ever played?

I don't know. I disliked Witcher 1 and thought 3 was a pretty good game overall. If they fixed the miserably awful combat from Darkfall it might be worth taking a look again.

Darkfall before the server split was the most awesome PvP game I've played. Better than UO. Despite its fail launch, exploits, hacks and 120 skills you had to train to be competitive.

If you decide to play either game, make sure you find a good guild.

PS: Wessex is recruiting for Life is Feudal Online..... I might fight them there again

Absolutely no you do not need to PVP if that is not your thing. The PVE and character building/crafting/diplomacy/economy/housing/boating/dungeons/village taking is pretty fun. When the NA server first came out in 2009 my xGF played with me and she played for a few hours a day and was only killed about once a week which she was easily prepared for so really wasn't a set back at all. She knew the safe spots to farm and would log out when getting 'player load lag'... I imagine that now adays what with the new alignment changes and how the players generally are not griefers anymore, I bet that you would be killed even less often (if ever). My new GF just bought the game and is having a lot of fun... glad that we are in beta now so that she can become familiar with the game enough to avoid PVP when it does come out next month more populated. When beta first came out though I ran into people everywhere and have never been jumped, not even once. Especially at launch, nobody is going to want to be red at least until they have a city with everything built and are able to keep it but they will probably leave the nooby areas alone. Once in a great while the only PVP you will find when launch happens for the most part will be people who decide that they dont care about the faction of your city and get into the racial wars part of it...

Basically.. it will be easier to avoid PVP than ever before... even easier than Unholy Wars with safe zones I am willing to bet because there wont be people waiting just outside the safezones to kill you and the world is much bigger.

There are consequences for killing peaceful players now, even if they are an 'enemy race'.. and when its obvious that you are not interested in PVP people eventually get used to leaving you alone and moving onto someone who is 'fun to fight'.

What made it the worst game you ever played?? There was soo many things wrong with it, I am not sure where to begin. Theres no macroing or bloodwalls or any effective cheats and everybody will want to either farm mobs or craft to get skills. Many new spell graphics, new quests, dungeons, mobs, 'expansions', housing stuff, MUCH BETTER UI!!, no more needing macros for anything.

Rise of Agon will be ready next month.... New Dawn will take some time to be ready..

Everyone in my clan has tried both games and all think that New Dawn still needs a lot of work for it to become a success.. localized banking, not being able to recall and fast travel as much, having less population, and for some of us the skill cap is a pain in the arss.

You won't want to miss out on the busiest launch which will be May 5th.

Seriously AV should have done lots of things that they didn't and as they did make changes it was almost too late. If you prefer oldschool games it would be dumb to miss out on this!

Pretty bad comparison between Witcher 1 and 3 lol. I loves both games but one is not an open world RPG and is massive on story and where it tells you to go.

The other is open world with story bit you don't have to follow.

Bad comparison.

I downloaded Rise of Agon just now and got a "Subscription Expired" message when trying to play. Nothing on their website says anything about free or trials. The store includes subscriptions to play during Early Access. Please clarify why you think this is now free to play.

The thread was created last August. I'm guessing it was free at the time. Now you have to buy a $19.95 tester package to get into early access: https://www.darkfallriseofagon.com/store/

Seriously?? New Dawn, right? Oh man... I had spent my savings on paying rent so that my girlfriend could play with me. I bet she would love New Dawn more than Rise of Agon, but she is working full-time now... and I have to save up money to fix my car and get a new computer. I haven't even been able to afford a sub for myself lately. No way in hell that I would miss the launch of New Dawn though and see how I could help them... bit better prepared for it than I was for Rise of Agon. Think that I would have to be evil though because playing the good guy in Rise of Agon didn't seem to attract as much new blood as I had hoped... and honestly was extremely disappointed because I didn't get much PVP waiting for my girl to learn how. Think she needed a keyboard to stand any chance at it but was really hard to make time to make macros for her and stuff so she could at least assist other people during a fight. Bit difficult of a game for a nice girl such as her to play... she was kind of embarrassing to stream, and was angered easily so it REALLY called the wolves out to stalk us hehehe...
