Intrepid Studios has released a new "alpha zero" trailer to show off the subterranean location called the UnderRealm. It showcases a few creatures that will be found and the glowing phosphorescence of a world without light.

    Looks decent enough. Walking mushrooms are aways a given in these type of areas luckily ;D

    The colours remind me of WoW. The creators were formerly from Blizzard right... it shows.

    Sure, it looks pretty, but it's also very MMO-like. I was hoping that in this game the random creatures would do more than just sit there waiting to be killed. I want an actual world to jump into, not just another MMO.

    I’m still a skeptic (and honestly not overwhelmed by the zone) but I must admit that they appear to be on a pace far beyond other Crowdfunded MMORPGs.

    Have they found the secret sauce?

    I don't think so. Many of the devs are from SOE.

    It looks like WoW though I could have mistaken it for a new zone in WoW. Oh its SOE oh yes now I recall having read that somewhere.

    Very nice styling to that area. I am a little more interested in this have now ... Just need to change their stand on those weird combat mechanics

    I am hopefully for Ashes. I am not super hyped because I am tried of the Hype train but I am hopefully that this game can become my new home once it release. There payment model is perfect where you can get a discount for bring friends into the game, AND that its a Sub Only model no B2P/F2P crap that time and time again turn into P2W garbage. See AA, Rift, and the endless number of games that go P2W because they try to cater to the F2P Crowd.

    I also like that this game is going of a more open world non WOW clone game. Even if it is more of PVP minded game. I just hope they balance PVP with keeping the game from becoming a gankfest. I am cool with PVP mechanics that change the world, as long as people are not ganking everything and anyone out in the world with no reproductions.

    I also like the idea with trying to Cross Tab Targeting combat with Action Combat. I dont want to be a spell caster that has to stand in one place while casting, but I also dont want a reticle combat where I have to AIM like a first person shooter. Being able to cast on the run even if you can tab target someone is a good thing. Standing still while casting is old.

    I will say I paid $75 so I can get into Beta 1 so I am a backer of this game so I might be a little bias. However I am trying not to let my bias give me rose tinted glasses. They do need to give me a polished game upon release for me to be happy even if they need to release some content later than expected.

    Not half bad. I remember reading that Drow undeground world is in fact quite bright due to their constitution. They did not decribe it that bright, but I have similar feel.
