The NGE controls are horrendous

I've been reading posts on these boards and they've really made me miss the old SWG. My wife hated that game cause I was always playing it. She was probably the only person that was happy that SOE screwed it up.

Anway, I thought about going back and trying it again, but I can't stand that over the shoulder, resident evil wanna be crap.

The worst part is that I might have been able to stomach the cheese actor's pictures, dumb down gameplay, and all the rest of the crappy NGE, IF and only IF the controls had been left alone. Targeting stuff was absolutely the worst. It made combat painful not fun, specially playing as a Jedi.

I put more then alittle time into growing and shaping my character, and that whole fiasco rendered all my time spent a waste.

I hate fantasy RPGs now. I wish that someone would come out with a good MMORPG that was sci-fi based, or Vampires and Werewolves, or Shadowrun style, or anything but the medieval crap that keeps getting flushed out.

    You can change all the controls back to pre-nge like I have if you like, takes about 15mins to do.  Check this guide here for all the how-tos.  PM me if you want details on the pre-nge interface that you may have seen in some of the screenies I've posted...

    I am with you. The controls are crap. I nearly cancelled when I saw what they had done to the controls but I had to hold because I had subbed for another 2 months and by then I had got the hang of it. What killed me was when they shafted crafters yet again by making it that other people could not give you access to their harvesters. I had a good set-up in my guild. Other people planted harvesters for me and I made stuff for free for them. Essentially this became more of social aspect. The removal of this was for me the last straw,

    The  point is $OE as good company has to do the job for me and has to develelop a well -controlled game, that i would like.They got enough money from me to do exactly this job.I remember they had this good stuff  like combat que , auto target and all the good stuff already ingame but the downgraded it to NGE !!!!!

    There was ( just like 99.8% of the time ) no need to start a new topic about this. Just read any of the other "wai nge sux mai balz kk" threads from page 1 to 40, there is quite alot of them, all saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

    The guy on the left screaming CU will be back is akewlguy,the guy in the corner with the shirt saying "they baned me from $OE forums" is giving out free rumors about SOE losing their license,and dont mind the guy outside with the shirt that says "I l0V3 NGE" ,it's just obraik protesting against the vets that left because the game sucks.
