Surprisingly still playing this and having fun.   Working up a mage currently.

We just bought and placed our guildhouse.  That was interesting as there is really no guidance on how it worked, but it’s down and we have a merchant!

Is it really moddable? How does that work exactly?

Have not ventured from the official server yet.  There is a list of community servers and they all claim to have their own rules etc... one if going for a 100% recreation on UO.

I'll have to check one out someday.  If this game is going to thrive it will be due to those community servers.

Ahh so modding is creating a custom ruleset then? Can you create your own maps and such too or is it the same map for all servers?

I believe you can create your own.

I think you have to be at a certain backer level for that.

Maybe once it launches that will change

The mod community is going to be what makes this game, because the official server is shit.

Wasn't the original idea that the whole thing was so moddable you could create a hack n slash sci-fi game with it if you wanted to? That just about everything could be created?

Been following it since the beginning and still haven't bought it. Is it a full fledged game already or still pretty bare bones?

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'
