For all of you Vanguard fans out there, Computer Games Magazine is going to be giving away free Vanguard: Saga of Heroes beta accounts.

 


Computer Games Magazine’s June Issue Offers Exclusive Vanguard: Saga of Heroes Beta Invitations


Gamers Will Receive a Unique Code to Sign up for a free Vanguard Beta Account

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.—April 19, 2006—Computer Games Magazine, published by the media division of theglobe.com, offers an exclusive invitation to join the beta test of Sigil Games Online’s highly anticipated massively multiplayer online game, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. In the June issue of Computer Games, readers will find a unique code enabling them to enter the closed beta test of this MMO prior to the availability of any public access. Sigil Games Online adds beta testers in large batches every few weeks. By registering an exclusive CGM code, readers will be instantly added to its beta queue. There is no need to put in an application and hope to be chosen to participate; readers will skip right to the front of the line. After a code is registered, Sigil will send out e-mails along with the client download information.

If you do not already have a code, you’re still in luck. Here are some basic instructions:

1. Get the issue. If you already have your copy of the June issue, mosey on down to step 2. Otherwise, head down to your local newsstand to purchase a copy (try Borders or Barnes & Noble).

You can also subscribe today to receive a code. Just forward your receipt to vanguard@cgonline.com. This email address is being protected from spam bots, and one needs Javascript enabled to view it. You’ll receive a code as soon as possible, although the subscription itself will take a few weeks to process. You can also buy a single copy or subscribe to the digital edition of the magazine right here, and forward your receipt to vanguard@cgonline.com.

2. Get the code. Retrieve your Beta code from page 19 of the June issue.

People who have received the issue digitally from Zinio.com, should send an e-mail to vanguard@cgonline.com with a valid login name (usually your e-mail address); upon verification of your purchase, you will receive a code as soon as possible. For the latest information on the game and access to the beta forums, create a forum account here.

    This is a bit premature isn't it?  I've been a long time subscriber of this very magazine (about 2 years now) and right now I only have the May 2006 issue.  They generally don't send out the June issue until early May (usually around the end of the first week of)

    Did you guys publish this early by mistake?  I'd be pretty miffed if i end up getting my issue with the code only to not be able to get in because everybody already used the email step prior to the June issue being released...

    Just curious.

    Well i live in UK and wasnt sure if this mag was available over here so chose to order it digitally online. At the moment the June issue is not available to my best knowledge.

    Same here, just nothing happens when i want to send my order...with both IE and Mozilla :(

    Hi Folks, I just wanted to let people know that there was initially an incorrect URL associated with this information. It's been changed at Computer Games'website, but for anyone who was redirected to the wrong place, you can now get to the correct spot here.

    I wish all betas had this kind of guaranteed "in."

    Funny thing is I never really heard of this magazine, Im more of a EGM fan myself, however, I'll be buying this June Issue!

    Has anyone actually picked this up off the shelves yet? The article seems as if it is out now, but I have yet to see it anywhere.

    No magazine is going to have there June issue out in April, just look for it in May.  I think EGM's june magazine comes out on May 7th.

    Well they really need to be more specific on this. It is only a code to get in line to get into the beta. I have already been "in line" for months.
