Hi all, looking for some suggestions for an RPG I can CO-OP with my girlfriend.
The MMO we're currently playing has a dwindling population. I've pretty much played all of the recent MMO's to date and all of them I've eventually found some type of issue with:
Revelation Online: BG queue too long, bored running the same dungeons everyday
Archeage: Don't like the gear upgrade system
Black Desert: Don't like the gear upgrade system. Too far from PVP crowd
Lineage2: Love it but can't catch up to PVP crowd
Aion: Dumbed down from the original version, population too small
Darkfall: Had fun when it was originally released but cant seem to get back into it
SOTA: I'm a founder but not sure how good the game is. I have not played it too much since purchasing
ESO: Had fun for awhile. Eventually got bored of the battlegrounds, due to no consequence/benefits for PVP
RIFT: Only lasted one week.
Is it just me? Any suggestions on a CO-OP RPG style fantasy game I can play?

I could Suggest Tera but not really sure if there are "benefits for pvp".
Star Wars the Old Republic has pvp but not sure there are "benefits" other than fun.
Conan Exiles is in Early Access and does need work but you can attack others. Not sure what the benefits are for pvp. There are different types of servers.

Never tried Star Wars. I don't need to have a PVP benefit. I'd rather have a variety of things to do and a nice world to explore than a PVP benefit. I referred to a PVP benefit above because at the time I was max level and there was nothing to do except PVP, so the PVP eventually bored me due to those reasons.
Conan Exiles: I will have to check this one out.
Thanks for the tips!
There is a huge amount of content and they are in the process of avatar updates (which I am waiting for before I go back).

The expansion offers harder content, which is perfect for 2 people. I've been playing through it with my sister and enjoying it a lot.
Been having moderate fun playing Skyforge, if you like Skyforge maybe try Vindictus.

I've learned playing normal PvE with friends is us going direct ways because different quests / things to-do.
I found the expansion to be very different though. The difficulty is a lot higher, so playing with 2 players feels like the comfortable baseline. It's been a lot of fun exploring the content with my sister, and it never felt like 2 of us was one too many.
If it can be non-MMO as well, just a wild guess but Mount&Blade? Haven't played it a while, but it was really fun - just occured to me because it's free now on gog during the weekend. Though that one was single only, and multi arrived just with Warband, but for the same period that is also on sale for less than 4 bucks. Fits for the "have a variety of things to do and a nice world to explore" and if you like action combat, you'll feel at home in M&B.
Give it a try on the first one for free, and if you like it, you can play Warband together
Great CoOp RPG. Turn based fights and a lot of customization.

Free and very good old school RPG and its very populated PvE and PvP
My brother and I went through a stage of doing tons of gaming together a few years back and RPGs are our favourite genre. But, the selection sucks! As others have pointed out, the overwhelming majority are ARPGs. Neither my brother or I care about story, so games like D:OS just bored us to tears. Diablo and it's ilk were fun for a while, but the combat in those games is so childish that we'd just be bored within a few hours.
We did a search at one point and discovered that we owned and had played pretty much every single split screen RPG on the 360. It wasn't a long list.
I think our favourite coop RPG that we played together was Dungeon Siege 3. It is an ARPG, but each character has a decent amount of skills to use so the combat was more engaging than most (though still shallow compared to a decent mmo). Our main disappointment with it was it was too short, we were just starting to get into it and getting good gear when all of a sudden it was finished.
