I'll get more out of buying a HOTAS setup and a steering wheel setup for the same $500 for my PC than I would out of a console.

I love my Xbox One X but one thing that really pissed me off... I already had purchased Elite: Dangerous - Horizen SP for PC and Elder Scrolls Online, and a couple other PC games that are also on the Xbox One but I have to buy them all over again from the Microsoft store so I can play on both consoles! If I would have been able to see into the future, I could have waited and bought them off Microsoft store and been able to play on both PC and Xbox One with one purchase.

I feel Microsoft could have catered to those of us who already own the PC titles to give us access to the Xbox One as well.

Microsoft doesn't own those two titles, they're not theirs to give away.

PS3 by a longshot,it has games i want to play but having said that,i will never buy another console ever again.

I do own the Microsoft controller,i use it on my PC,that is as close to Xbox as i will come. The ONLY reason i bought Xbox was way back in the day to play some wargame game online with friends bu the game actually sucked and the original xbox laid collecting dust.

Now a days most titles are on both Playstation and Xbox but not the games i want to play, they were still specific to Playstation, like the old Shining series for example and the Final Fantasy games.

Okay, it is new and powerful and shiny alright. And then.. one year from now a medium range PC will outperform it by miles.
Yeah but not everyone is interested in a race to keep up their pc's for gaming.

One friend of mine used to have a pc for gaming and then one day he decided "screw it, I'm only buying consoles".

He says it's overall cheaper, he likes the games and he's satisfied. The average person is probably more interested in consoles, excluding things like mobile.
I used to spend alot on PC upgrades. Then I realized I am okay with having my somehow aged laptop for some MMOs and Civilization and playing everything else on my PS4 Pro. I'm not sure if I can walk away from the couch + 75" screen combination ever again.

First of all, comparing the One X to the original PS4 is really weak, at least compare it to the PSPro. The difference is smaller.

I would argue that the Xbox One X is the worst console for PC gamers and MMO gamers, aside from easily being the worst console of this generation.

    Reasons:

    - There is a complete overlap of all little the quality first party "exclusives" as theya re also available on PC.
    - Compared to the PS4 and Switch there are hardly any quality exclusives and those that do exists are mainly tired sequals in franchises that have been going for years or quirky niche titles.
    - For MMO gamers the best console MMO is on PS4 (FF14).

By the way, I actually own the Xbox One S. I am not against Microsoft perse and I loved the Xbox 360 but I have been really dissapointed with the lack of fun to play first party exclusives with the Xbox One. If you already have a PC there is no reason to get an Xbox One and if you don't have a PC either get one or get a PS4 (or Switch for the portability).

I am thoroughly dissapointed with Microsoft misguided concept thinking gamers only care about graphics and not about games (which the reviewer seems to share). First Microsoft where convinced that we gamers weren't interested in games but wanted a "media box", now they've changed their tune and think we don't care about game content, just about game graphics. Meanwhile Nintendo is laughing their ass off with an innovative device that hardly has a fraction of the Xbox One X's gaming power.

Hopefully next generation Microsoft will get their act together, will figure out what games are about again and will have a better showing. We need the Microsoft of the past back that dazzled us with the original Halo and Gears of Wars, and gave us new franchises that we could only enjoy on their system.

Microsoft's "buy it once" approach with their studio titles is an added bonus. I have a couple I can play on the box and PC. Still not a big fan of shooters on a console but I have been playing ESO and XCOM on the Xbox One X and I actually prefer them on the box. I can sit in my comfy chair and play on my big 4K TV.

The major thing for me on the Xbox is the 4k blueray drive.  Why Sony does not include this option is beyond me, but you have not watched video until you have seen 4k blueray.    Anyone that tries to tell me they can stream 4k at peak evening times, they are either fooling themselves or are on a rare line that does not see much use.

PS4 Pro supports 4k blurays, I can stream 4k video just fine but I have a 150MBs line.

This is the definition of double dipping. Microsoft earn from every PC sold, so they are going to put all their games on the PC right, support the platform? Well they did at first but then they saw $$ signs up for grabs.

Instead they release a console and put their games on there so they can earn from every console sold. If you have a PC and want to play their games you need a console as well. KERCHING!

Now that may be backfiring somewhat, but whatever they lose on PC sales they get back on the Xbox, so the situation is still a total win for them.

Most of the heavy hitters is available to play on pc with xbox live on Windows 10 without buying the console version. I don't use or care, but know that it exists.

Wrong, PS4 Pro only supports blueray, it does NOT support 4k blueray.
Wrong, PS4 Pro does support 4k bluray media (as a software upgrade) via USB drive, no one said anything about physical disks.
that is pure nonsense, you need a physical drive to support 4k blueray.

I know must just take sides in matter of my console's penis is bigger than your console's penis. But I personally rather like this competition and how Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft have formed a triangle in terms of performance, exclusives, services, portability, etc. These are good times to game indeed. <3

Consoles are just shitty closed platform PCs with all proprietary hardware, run by companies that pay devs not to release on other platforms, they are a cancer on the gaming world.

Keyboard and mouse can be annoying to me. I use Xbox Controllers when I can honestly.

i would rather not go on shops and buy shelf merch tagged for gaming thats above 1k$ on shelf price and no custom wares inside, i would go to ebay and buy any HP Z- workstation, dump 2 xeons quads thats like 24mb of cache for 2 on the cheapest end, min req ram of 32gigs ddr3, a cheap arse ssd + 1 cheap arse hdd, and tada! i just made my own custom "gaming rigg" for like 100-150$ whats next? well like any other gaming riggs, the only important part thats missing is a GPU, so you can buy a 400$ gpu and be done, if you wanna stay one the same price tag with the xbox one x, but the problem is that the console next year will prolly be useless, while on the other hand my custom crafted workstation would pretty much have such a long life, that even my kids or grandkids will still be using it somewhere in time.
