Grim Dawn News - As promised, Crate Entertainment has announced the second expansion for its wildly successful Grim Dawn. Called Forgotten Gods, the new content will send players "beyond the bounds of the Erulan Empire" in order to "reach the sun beaten ruins of a city with secrets that should never have been disturbed".

    Why don't they just re-create characters with better models, animations and release it as 2.0 for even higher amount of sales?

    Their company name is an unfortunate circumstance in light of how reviled it becomes with the word "loot" is placed in front of it.

    I'm hoping that new gameplay mode is how the Midtown zone was in MH.

    I kind of feel like it would be inherently more hollow than Midtown. Part of the appeal of patrols in MH was the diverse, extensive roster of heroes. It was fun seeing dozens of players each playing as a different iconic hero with different costumes participating in the utter chaos that was Midtown Madness. That variety really helped make Midtown a visual and thematic spectacle of sorts, despite the gameplay itself becoming very repetitive, very quickly.

    I was hoping for dedicated servers. :/
    I don't think they want to dedicate resources to that.  Which is why I'm not in a rush to try it as the game will have the same experience a year from now and be cheaper.

    the costs would skyrocket to a point where they may not even be profitable though.  They are unlikely to compete with POE there

    It was a simple but really fun mode for sure.  Other than splinters, that was probably the best addition to the game.  Especially after they made it so almost all loot could drop there
