CoV trial Download help!

I downloaded what I need to download for CoV trail and when I did update it stoped at a point while it was and the time just kept going up really slowly so I try to restart it but it just then does the update diffrently saying

Connecting#1 then #2 then #3 and so on...

I need help...all I wanted to do was play it, I was really confused when it said "City of heroes updater."

    Yes, it is the CoH updater, but onc eyou log in, with the CoV account, it will change for you. Just let the update do it's thing, and see what happens.

    where do u acctually download the game i have put in the code and it accepted it so where do i download the game?

    When I try and download  the cohupdater.exe it goes to a page can not be displayed. I am clicking on the button on the trial set up that says "download City of Villians" it takes me to ftp://client.coh.com/US/CohUpdater.exe  and gives me a page can not be displayed.

    Any ideas where I can get the CohUpdater?

    I tried the link again late tonight and it worked for me. Must have just been down for a bit.

    I dloaded the updater, & installed it.  But when I go in the game, it only lets me login on CoH, I have no option for CoV?   Any hints?

    Check your download make sure you have the CoV and not the CoH. theres one for each area.

    Dammit, I am positive I didnt dload CoVupdater, because the link only took me to a CoHupdater.  grrr

    it looks like COH but if you grabbed it from COV all is fine. I did the same double take. But if you go into the root dir you installed to you will see there is a COVupdater.exe and COHupdater.exe Just double click on the COV and you should be fine. I think they both take you to the same place but change from there anyway. But just click on that one to be sure.

    thanks! I will check it out when I get home.  It was around a 1.9 gig dload, seems that it would be enough for CoV & CoH, but I suppose I will have to wait & see!
