Warhammer: Vermintide 2 succeeds in carrying over everything that was great about the first game while managing to push the genre forward in a fresh way. After spending several late nights hacking and slashing my way through hordes of ratmen and other evils I can honestly say that it's the most fun I’ve had in a co-op shooter in a long time. So grab that coffee, kick back and enjoy our review of Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

Why not?
I also wish 3rd person was an option in Vermintide 2 but i'm still having a lot of fun playing it.
All for the grand price of £20.
To overcome this we had to intentionally down our selves so they could heal us and have room to pick up a tome.
My only complaints are that I don't have a true Warrior Priest of Sigmar to play with. Saltzpyre's flagellant career doesn't quite cut it!
I have not had this much fun running around and killing baddies since Dying Light.
Seems I am right to be interested in it
Game is probably balanced around 1st person, would be too easy in 3rd to see mobs behind you.

To make the claim that the developers are lazy without knowledge of the game is just a bit silly and ignorant. It's a "4 player co-op game", of course there's combat animations for all classes as well as animations for 30+ different kinds of weapons including both ranged and melee. What do you think other players would be seeing? Just random floating weapons swinging through the air? The animations are very well done considering the different weapon types that require different handling. E.G there are different animations for the spear, glaive, 2h Sword, dual wielding swords or daggers, using a 1 hand sword and course the ranged weapons and that's just for the Waystalker. There's also fast attacks and heavy attacks that have their own sets of animations for weapons.
well, shouldn't the question be why should we care that he has to see something to "play" it?
rpg in first person is actually just way more rpg than 3rd person.
i don't think he played PnP RPGs before, bc quite frankly, you don't even see your character's hands on paper, unless you draw em ^^
or in short, i disagree. RPG ain't bound to certain views.
uh, and for the first person melee part, you don't think it's working? lemme guess, you didn't play vermintide 1 OR 2, aight? :>
this is EXACTLY why this game stands out so much, bc they made it work - like ace.
and for the record, it worked in 1994 (check heretic or hexen if you don't know it), why shouldn't it work in 2018? ^^
