Looks like a slightly altered Defiance. I hope they showcase some more of the big changes cause so far it seems like a few minor UI changes and some tweaks to combat and classes.

@Mad+Dog Yeah, there is PvP in the original game so probably in 2050 as well. Its a story driven game so its not just shooting bugs. Lots of different enemies. Aliens, Humans, Bugs, ect.

Honestly there seems to be minimal difference from the current game and the "Upgraded" one.. I hope it's just because of pre alpha or else I see no point in coming back to this game sadly

I'm actually pretty excited for this, huge fan of defiance, still jump in now and then to play. It seems that they're trying to take the destiny fans while they can with the classes though. Still, looking forward to getting in and sniping some hellbugs.

Looks just like I remember Defiance looked like. Nothing seems to have changed enough. As of this video I will not be trying 2050 unless they showcase some bigger changes.

yea , im a bit underwhelmed with that showing , and i really liked Defiance at its launch played it every week/ watching the show .. was a cool idea .. but then show went away and the P2W cash shop of Trion reared its ugly head ...

Right now it looks like the same exact game .. hopefully they are doing more under the hood they have yet to show us ... And removing the P2W cash shop ...

otherwise they are just ................Putting Lipstick on a fucking Pig

Looks like classic Trion. Promise one thing,then deliver something completely different. I think they are just trying to keep the game alive on another platform because most people don't play their xbox 360 or playstation 3 anymore

could be. I also agree it looks the same as defiance to me. Just a few minor twaeks but there releasing it as a new game. Bah money grabbing i bet, completly P2W.

They must have had sound issue's because the 2 guys were either mute or extreamly quiet, the guy on his own was fine. They carnt even get main sounds on this working.

It's about time game companies start being honest and change the word "buy" to "rent" cause according to USA law anything you legally buy you can re-sell yet we can't do that with games. In the case of recent days Trion they are trying to re-sell me things I already "bought" many years ago. INB4 "This isn't the same game though". It pretty much is except they changed a couple things and added a "2050" to the end of the name. Chances are high that the same items will be selling again that were in the "original" game so it's basically the same game.

In 2013 "The U.S. Supreme Court decided a case that reinforced the right to re-sell a copyrighted item, if you had lawfully bought it."

If Trion offers us a fair service like Rift Prime. I'll definitely give the game a go. Rift Prime basically has the same model as WoW and FF14. Everyone should at least give it a shot for a month to show publishers the consumers like options. There can be a F2P and P2P option in the same mmo. Not to mention it's a lot of fun so you'll get your $s worth. I haven't been a fan or given Trion a single dollar for a long time. But, they are one of the few western mmo developers/publishers left. So I'm willing to give them another chance under these circumstances.
