Say bye-bye to MMORPGs

I always see post of people say bye to certain MMORPG games and so on, so i just wanted say bye all MMORPGs in general.
All the MMOs ive played its never what i want. and i never get satisfied so im leaving the MMO world and returning to the land of console games. A land where when i play i dont have to worry about patchs, paying a monthly fee, LAG, and best of all people talking about Chuck Norris.
Im not ragging on MMOs, they are just not for me.

If anyone is looking for an awsome action/adventure game for the PS2, I just finished God of War and id have to say its the best action game ive played in a long time. The music is great, the action is fast and fluid, the puzzles have a lot of variety to them and some actually require some thinking and the art direction is just phenomonal. If you like Prince of Persia youll love God of War.
Ill have to check that out.

Vanguard is the last hoorah for me too. Im pretty sick of what MMO's have become and without dragging our other debate into this thread, its the Devs who are to blame.
Thier complete lack of imagination in game creation and their utter lack of resolve to secure and responsibly manage their own worlds and police their own EULA's has left me feeling like a sucker everytime I log in to any of the curent games.
Im no ones cash cow, if its not fun then screw it... I wont play anymore...

I just hate how it's the same thing with every mmorpg.
Do quests or grind to end level just so you can get to the end content and be bored, why not jsut give the end content first? lol. I mean why does there have to be levels and classes? Why can't your level be set to your skill like on CS?
Why in WOW does everyone play alone together? Meaning it's like a single player game where you all play on the same level.
Why in EQ2 is the community sooo crap and moody? Noone talks outside of guides and noone gives a helping hand!
Oh wait SWG had most of this and an amazing helpful community, but SOE screwed it up and now mmorpgs are going down a crap route nobody likes tbh.

Im currently playing UO on a *cough*free shard*cough*, I wont give out any links, but if you want to PM me there are a couple good ones around (Pre UO:R and such).
I personally feel thatoo many people are expecting the next latest and greatest mmorpg to be the next UO or EQ, and I doubt it'll ever be the same for the current generation of players. Vanguard does seem promising, but I don't really feel like living out a second life on a game anymore. I just want a bit of (cheeky) fun.

I'm hoping vanguard works out for me to, but if it doesn't i will just wait for another great mmorpg to get addicted to. eventually there will be a game i will fall in love with, these games just take alot of money and a long time to make.
