The fact is that the PvP in DAoC is much more complex than that of L2, and whether you wish to admit to it or not, DAoC (while not the best game in the world) is still a lot better built than L2.
DAoC has a lot more of an intelligent leveling system than L2. You dont just have to go to the forest and kill wolves for 100 levels. You can actually do complex quests (not the calibur of WoW quests, but still better than L2) that are fun, help you find/explore new places, and help you meet new people.
L2 is the ultimate loner game. "I like to grind until I hit high level, and find some alliance to join, and PvP with really annoyingly boring battles".
If you like L2, thats fine... but dont post lies about how "amazing" L2 PvP is, when it's the most boring PvP you'll ever fight in your life. Good day
If you play alone in L2, you should play a different game.
Unless you have a second account with a buff bot, you have to level with other people inside a party all the time. Classes are made for partying. Many good buffs are party buffs, which means only the party members can get its effect. So is pvp, no loner can do crap.
WOW is the real loner game with "quest" you can do it on your own.
And no you are the one posting crap that you don't know about. L2 has the best PvP of all MMO. The reaosn you didn't see it is because you were a newbie loner obivously before you quit...loners don't get fun in L2.
I did some research on L2, actually it's hard to compare it to DAoC, they are 2 different pvp systems, one people will like more daoc, others l2 (and I like daoc more )

i gotta say, in every single MMO, theres bound to be a lil grinding goin on cuz the quests, its just basically tellin you go to gather stuff, and then you'll encounter some monsters to kill and that'll maybe lvl up someone, then go back to the guy to give him the stuff. Then you are off to get another quests that will be the same thing( the killing, the collecting, the drinking health stuff).

Also, the PvP, some people's tastes are always diffrent in games. Some like their PvP random( killing nubs while they are lvling((no offense to low lvls)) ), while others like their PvP's oraganized and stuff. Some people like their PvP's mano e mano, while others depend of teamwork to take the other guys out. It's just all in the person's best interest to see what kinda PvP( or whatever other things there are) they like.
P.S. I have cake for sale, 2.00 for a cake. It might be a lil moldy when you get it in your mail but you just gotta scrape it off. (Or pretend its really smelly, fuzzy frosting)

Simply they are taking advantage of the common knowledge of trial usually will auto end by itself and will not charge.
Second, DAOC has the same stupid grinding. L2 has great pvp/siege that requires people's organization and personal skills.

Play DAoC and not just the trial and u will find out, that, like most of the others in this thread already stated, DAoC's pvp/rvr owns L2's. That's no idea that's a fact.

ayeaye DAoC is the best MMo i have played and i have played many many mmo's. You cant knock DAoC end game if u never got there. DAoC has such a good way for pvp (which they have spent years on revamping so its extremely good) its on another level compared to other pvp games. my friend used to play L2 and he played it for like 8 months or sumin and he eventually quit and came back to DAoC. Must have thought that DAoC was generally a better game. i agree.

to the OP: didn't see WoW on your list. pvp in wow is a double edged sword. the actual pvp mechanics and class balance is the most fun i've ever had, but the fact that large scale open world pvp crashes blizzard's servers lead them to tuck the pvp'rs away on Battleground servers. this, plus the crappy "honor" system they have keeps 99% of the pvp in the battlegrounds and takes much of the fun of pvp out of the game.
if you knew this going in you could focus gearing up in pve and just roam open world with your buddy and have a grand time. i left wow very frustrated...until warhammer comes out i'll prolly be playing EQ2 despite being inferior to wow. i just can't stand blizzard and can't contribute to their project any longer.
