So if I'm understanding right this is basically launch right? Because "early access" in our "dictionary" nowadays means the game has launched. Asking this because if this is official launch there won't be any character wipes I assume.

Early Access is suppose to last up to 6 months before launch. Neowitz did say there will be no character wipe after Early Access.

From what i understand this soft launch wont have any wipes the game is pretty much ready to go this soft launch is pretty much an excuse for them to fix and optimized the rest of the game this way they wont look bad saying this is the final version.

    Q. Will there be an in-game store? Will it be Pay-To-Win???
    A. Yes, there will be an in-game store! We will offer cosmetic equipment, skins, awesome mounts and pets, and consumables that give services and boosts, etc.
However, the items will not offer special bonuses that lead to Pay-to-Win!

While a certain amount of 'leeway' is given to games that release into Early Access, i would rather wait until the game is 'finished' but at least this way we will get to see youtube reviews on the gameplay/features etc. of the game along with any problems the game has, i think this is useful myself as i'd rather not jump in blind, particularly into a game that has had 'issues' in the past.  :/

Think of it like "Open Beta" for a F2P MMO. No wipe, but still a cost to enter.

Glad to hear that is sort of a soft launch(aka as long as they don't wipe in 2-3 months I'm happy. As long as it lasts till WoW :O).
Been looking forward to this game even though it's a mix bag of reviews from people that have played it.

I'd call a game launched when you can play for free or paying the box price or less for an indefinite amount time, no matter if there are wipes or not.

I think "keenly-anticipated" is a rather generous wording. I think a more even-handed wording would have been "cautiously curious." As anyone who was interested in the game either experienced or heard about it's atrocious combat, questing, dead world, and horrible grind. And at this point are interested to see if they've managed a FFXIV-like recycle. Or if it was all just a bunch of fluff to get better early access sales and a publisher for the U.S. release.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but once you hit max level, you are PvP on, whether you want to be or not. And the only way to be "PvP Off" is to buy a potion that lasts 10 minutes?

I'm fairly certain you are PVP "on" at all levels.

The difference as I understand is before reaching max level you will be able to buy a potion to disable PVP to 10 minutes or whatever using in game currency from an npc vendor, for 10 silver in Japan last I heard.

Once you reach max level you have to start using the cash shop version of the potion, vendor ones will no longer work. They say players who buy them from the cash shop will be able to sell them to other players for in game currency, so there's that.

I thought it was PTP, Pop-To-Play, or is that just when avoiding the PvP? ;)

Think of it as "launched" since there is no more wipes and they are charging for it.

It was Bill (or at least in MMORPG review ) who gave us the working definition of 'open cash shop means it has launched' a few years ago. Since then it has become harder and harder to work out what stage of a game it is truly at as companies move the goal posts so that easy to understand definition is hard to apply. No wipes from now plus a cash shop is what I think of as launch atm.

Can someone tell us of a MMO, or MMO-like game that came out on Steam up to a year ago and is not still in "Early Access". It should be called Ever Early Access. :)

Hows that for a sales pitch: We are going to make a PVP game where people pay not to PVP..... SO many of us want a great PVE game yet every one just about has to force PVP on us and strikes out.

The thing I do like about Neowiz is they are listening to their community. So upon launch I assume they will continue to make changes to provide the product that the people want. I think they know 3rd try is their last attempt at saving their game. Didn't work in Korea or Russia. They didn't just give up and call it quits. I am excited to see what this version brings. I believe they will in the end try to provide the best experience for both PVP and PVE players alike.

Bless is a BDO wannabe, I say wannabe because BDO is stronger in mechanic, Bless has more focus on PvE content but PvP driven, it just feels that typical rather uninspired MMO title that I can't get myself enjoy any more :X

I don't feel like that's the case at all. If you had said WoW clone, I'd have been inclined to agree... but BDO? The only thing it really has in common with BDO IMO is...

    1) Both have AMAZING character creators and graphics overall. Bless' creator actually beats BDO's for me, but BDO definitely wins the graphics category as a whole (the BDO world just looks too fucking stunning xD)

    2) RNG... enchanting... /wince

Other than that, Bless is far more WoW with its crafting, its dungeons, its classes and trinity system, the overall gameplay...
Granted, I didn't play Bless terribly long because of the other region thing, but I do intend to get it when it comes to NA/EU later this month.
