In a new post on /r/MMORPG, StikiPixels developers have invited players to come along and test out the alpha version of the combatless MMO Occupy White Walls. This one has a unique concept where players build an art museum and then curate the pieces that will hang on the walls. For now, the art can be chosen from existing art, though over time, players will be able to add their own.

"I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!"
So, in this area, we have a lot of "open studios". It's essentially a town's (all the towns by boston are so close together it might as well be considered one big city) artists all showing on the same day, many of them in large brick former factory spaces.
In any case, on one particular open studio, held in a former factory, I went into one of the rooms to discover that all the artist had done was to draw very detailed 6'+ high penis drawings.
Each one different, each one at least 6'. Each one a penis.
Not sure what they were working through.
In any case I like the idea of this game.

But really, isn't this something that can (and probably does) exist in Second Life? In fact, I haven't seen MMORPG cover that Virtual Worlds MMO in quite some time. Why not go there and take a fascinating trip through the pre-version of Ready Player One's Oasis? Hmmmm?....
It has potential. Not everyone is into killing other players and wants to participate in e-peen contests. I remember Landmark, a lot of creative players came together and started to create things. Players shared builds, tips, tricks, etc. Certain builds became socializing hubs. I still am in contact with people I met in that game. A good game doesn't need combat it needs things players can do together. This might become one of those games.
I don't see it
If you can customize your avatar, I can see DeviantArt people making galleries to show off art of their OCs as their OC but not much more really more then that. lol
It's an original idea but I don't see many content in a gallery art game
The fact is has no combat is even mentioned in the title and there I was thinking you were going to make museums to display art and then tear each other up with chainsaws.
This OWW is an interesting idea. Curators have a challenging job, and if you (even just virtually) throw a lot of them together, it will be easier to compare them - thus making their jobs even more challenging to come up new themes and ideas.
There might be a niche for it, but I agree with Kano, Landmark had wastly larger potential (before they ruined it by adding combat).
I know there is a crowd how large idk but many that would like a non combat game.Well that is great all the power to those people however i feel this is more a case of just delivering something cheap and affordable and easy to make and NOT aiming for a niche market,Well it is aiming at an easy target niche market but what i mean is not with the intent to deliver something great to that market but something cheap and affordable.
They seem to have a decent amount of architecture to use and build nice looking galleries but that is where the game basically ends and why i say aiming for something cheap manageable.
1 Could have should have allowed players similar to say Landmark using an easy example to build their own architecture and structures.
2 Create an entire rpg economy and immersion i guess using another simple exampel ,as mentioned Second Life.
3 Make it look more real, automobiles driving around people walking around, using yet another simpel example Rockstar games ideas coem to mind, you know GTA type cities.
So yeah you could make an idea like this and cater to a niche crowd but make it AAA,make itimmersive and real and not just some cheap entry looking to cash in on a non volatile no competition market, similar to devs doing kid games.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Looking at the trailer, it seems more "sims" like. So if you thought the sims was a "game" then there you go.
