Paladins: Champions of the Realm News - You may remember Paladins: Realm Royale that briefly debuted earlier this year as 'Battlegrounds'. In the latest round of closed alpha testing that took place for a very limited amount of time this weekend, the battle royale mode has been renamed "Realm Royale". While we don't have a ton of details about a lot of the mechanics, the team did provide some new information about the Forging System.

    I enjoy Paladins, it rages me to no end but it's fun. Played OW/Paladins about equal and usually end up having more fun in Paladins, character designs are interesting.

    After PUBG and Fortnite I think there is still a little wiggle room in the Battle Royal genre but not much so they'll have to make it engaging and fun to have it stick. Curious how this is going to go, hopefully I can get into the alpha to test it out and see for myself which way they are interested in going down.

    That is Hi Rez for you making popular games months late. Moba, Hero Shooter, TCG, and now battle royal. Great company, but they need to take a leap and make something to remember.

    Yea. I played one game and went back to OW. Want something a bit different, but this seems very unpolished and stinks of "perpetual beta" to me. They need to ship a solid base game and then develop things that make sense for it. This just seems like they are duct taping all manner of clutter in together in order to stay in the new cycle.

    Don't care anymore about it.

    People think giving shit another name will make it better... And thanks to the internet, shit has become very popular.

    I think it's because of the jap movie called battleroyale wich is about a class of kids fighting to the death.
