Well for graphics...10 because the graphics are just great...! very realistic IMO For role playing 9 because I've played some games better in that part but its still great. And for fun a 10 because you can play it at any rate and it is still have fun and can get addicting if you really liek it.
How is 'role playing' implemented in factions that you rate it a 9??? I wouldn't even rate UO a 9 in 'roleplaying'. No MMORPG to date has supported true role playing sufficiently to score higher than a 4 or 5 imo (and UO made 5, EVE made 4, SWG made 5).
Honestly curious. If it caters that well to roleplaying then a LOT of people who would otherwise ignore GW should probably give Factions a try.

I've recently bought this game, after posting on the boards with a few questions. IMHO I consider it to be money well spent (especially after just cancelling D&D Online).
Graphics - I give it about a 7 (out of 10). The graphics are very nice I like how my character looks and the look of the gameworld. The character creation system gives you some nice options, but not enough for my taste (games like CoH/CoV have spoiled me on that). Also, in the game world there are a lot of what I call "invisible barriers" since you can't jump (only emote jump) in the game, it kinda hampers exploration....but I'm digressing.
Role-playing - Um, well I'd have to give it about a 3. I've seen very little role-play going on in city/town areas. I see a lot of activity to be sure, just not a lot of role-playing. I suppose with a lot of these games you can look for an RP guild to get your fix.
Fun - I give it a 9. I'm having loads of fun right now. This may be in part that I'm a newb to the game, but I find the quests/henchman/world to be very fun and refreshing (also keep in mind that I just left a game where I wasn't having much fun at all).

I think GW does cater to roleplaying more than other games simply because its 100% instanced you and your roleplaying friends can create your own little world where youre always in character if it suits you.

Hmm... maybe on a small scale... but compare it to things like EVE or UO or DAOC or Pre-NGE SWG (actually even NGE is more condusive to roleplay than GuildWars) or any of the other games where you can roleplay with thousands of others. In GuildWars the community doesn't really allow for that. Nor does the world.
But yeah, if you're just looking for 'group' roleplay it's pretty easy to do if you find a regular group or a guild that likes to roleplay.
I wouldn't give it a 9 though. Maybe a 3... then again I'm very picky in that regard. As a die hard RPG player from the 70's when it was pamphlet, pencil and dice (not even maps unless we made our own) I'm pretty picky about what I consider a good roleplaying environment. Yah you CAN roleplay in GuildWars... but it's hardly an environment that encourages it.

I preordered Factions, and I've found that it's CONCIDERABLY harder than Prophecies. Even simple quests become quite challenging, and nearly require the team to work well together. I found it easy to slide into the role the game sets out for you as a Prophecies character (I havn't made a new Factions character yet), and I was quite taken with the story.
Honestly, my favorite part about the whole thing are the titles! And you non-Factions guys get in aon that, too. I managed a Tyrian Cartographer (more than 90% of the Prophecies map unveiled) and I got a title for beating all the missions and bonuses. There's a title for being drunk all the time, several titles for PvP play, titles for opening chests or identifying rare items. Right now, that's the part I'm having the most fun with.
