and now they made the same mistake and wasted resources and money like they did on ps2 to bring it to console.
they should really give up on making video games

To be clear, as I have previously posted, I credit CN with saving / keeping the studio up and running; doing what was necessary in the process. I also consider this "port" (extension if you like) to be a sound move and one that hopefully will repay the their efforts. Far less risky than researching and developing a brand new concept, creating it and ultimately marketing and launching it. (The breadth of effort involved in launching a new title compared to the - still non-trivial effort to launch on a new platform - is why I consider this to be a port rather than a new game.)
Maybe not... ;-)

Here is the funny/odd side of this story.
Some spokesperson for DBG says the layoffs were not because of the USA sanctions on Viktor but because H1Z1 has not been doing very well for some time now.
Ok so if the game has not been doing well and 70 or so layoffs just happened,WHY would you reinvest into a console release of a failing game,NOBODY does that.Reason, well as i stated,VERY little effort here, simply trying whatever they can to create some cash flow.
Expect this game and business to be under new ownership within 3 months.Rumor has it is the Ashes of creation studio in talks and since their response was "we can't comment" lol that is as good as saying yeah your in talks.
