What was your first MMO?

When I was 12 years old, me and two friends discovered Runescape in the library downtown.
Holy crap, it was amazing (for the time). Then one friend quit, then to another, then only I remained cause they were smart enough to go play other games.
Then I found Ultima Online, still a player today.

Now to the fancy question.
What game was your first?

Neptus - FFXI - Pandemonium

    Should be in the general forum, I think.

    I started looking at mmo's when World of Warcraft was announced. Got into the GW test weekends. So Guild Wars was kind of my first mmo During the period of waiting for Wow, I played the GW tests and City of Heroes beta/retail I think. Then when Wow was released I played it for 1 year. During this year I also played some Eve and EQ2. Now I'm only playing Eve.

    I remember my first MMO It was Helbreath the crusade. Back when everyone play on the international server and it was free. Alot of my friends played and for a few years was a fun experience.

    EQ is my first MMO.

    SRE is my first multiplayers online game.

    Shadowbane was my first. My friend practially begged me to get the game, and I eventually did about a month after launch. The horrible lag wasn't fixed yet, so I played for about a month or two and left, leaving my friend behind to rpk and siege, which he thoroughly enjoyed for 2 years or so. I went on to EVE Online after my short stint with SB, and I've been  playing that ever since.

    Ultima Online.. I loved that game so much. I remember the first year I got it I had to take 3 summer courses becouse I failed my classes. To this day I still consider it the best mmo I have ever played.

    My first, and technically my last was UO. played for just over a year if I remember. Havent subscribed to anything since then, but hell, theres nothing worth subscribing to.

    Then Meridian 59 where I met my first American friends, one of whom was good enough to buy and ship to me a copy of UO when it released, because it wasnt available to Australia for about another 6 months or maybe more.

    10+ years later and having played everything on the MMORPG.com list.... I think UO year 1-2 was the pinnacle of online gaming so far.

    My first was Everquest when I was 12 years old...Ahh best game I've ever played.  I played untill I was  17 years old, then tried WoW for a year. Now I am 18 and still looking back at all EQ1 had to offer.. Nothing can ever replace the feeling you felt playing your first MMORPG no matter what because it was simply the very first time you had tried a game like that. Sadly it dosn't fill the void it left in me even if I do go back now, simply because It was my first time experience with an MMO and that feeling cannot be recreated.

    if runescape counts.,.... me and some frends use to pay in library when i was like in 3rd grade ( im 15 and in 9th grade now )

    after that, i was begged to play EQ
    but i never gave in

    then came my era of FPS gaming, which i still enjoy the mostestestest of all gaming

    but then came along those GW weekends
    then i preodered and got into beta and stuff and became addicted
    i just waited for each 2 months when new beta weekend came
    hahaha the good ol days

    then i visited WoW, my frends and i use to "share" ( he would pay ) subs
    then his got jakced ( he got it back fortunately )

    and about 30 days ago
    i got my own

    so yeah i been playing WoW for about 8 months now

    and well its a pretty good game

    i do agree the PvP is WEAK, but lets face it its fun game

    Everquest was my first I think i was 10 or 11 when i started. I was hardcore addicted too 

    Current MMO: Aion
    MMO Watch: Warhammer 40k Online, SWToR, GW2.
    Played: Planetside, SWG, EQ, EQ2, L2, WoW, RFO, KAL, MxO, Voyage, RO,Vanguard,Tabula Rasa, Horizons, CoH/CoV,, Lotro, FFXI

    Ultima Online was my first MMO, it kept me around for 6-7 years and thats the longest time I have ever spent playing an online game... I kinda miss it but I wont go back to it.

    Ultima Online. I started it when it came out and took a few month break. My account says its 71 months old.

    Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

    Everquest.
    I started like a month after it came out.  Even before the "Ruins of Kunark" expansion.  I remember almost buying it like 20 times at the store because I couldn't imagine paying each month to play an online game.
    I still play it though.  lol.

    Dang all you oldies with UO and older games. Well my first MMO was Face of Mankind in 2004 and man I loved it so much but I don't play it anymore(I played when it was in beta now you pay but I can't have subscription MMO's), now I play GW and WoW(cousin's account). I played the CoH 15 day demo,Everquest 15 day demo, well alot ya whatever.

    hahas, sounds interesting dis topic.. but err.. i first playyed runescape ( RS ) at arnd.. ermm.. pri 5?

    im from singapore btw.. so.. after tht.. i din play other games. till maple story came in.. den other games such as WoW and GW came in.. i tried them ... and was quite fun.. =] yup .. thats all. for now.

    Star Wars Galaxies was my first...... I'll never forget it, and to me it will always be one of the best ones out. Now I'm a WoW and GW player!
