US taxpayers need to be reimbursed, too, not just Blizzard. The FBI spent how much money on this?
Yeah, but that not generally how it works. While convicted criminals can be asked to pay for court costs and "victim" restitution, they normally aren't asked to pay for the costs of their investigation or prosecution outside of any "fines" that might be imposed.

Still, this case seems more like a front for the government to use to get this guy here and not the real issue.

"jailed in the US after being extradited" WTF this is way too much! Other countries can't extradite people who stole billions of their countries wealth or went on a killing spree yet over something although annoying but a silly joke compared to major crimes this guy gets extradited!?

We have one of the best corrupt systems in the world! you can literally get a bj from any government official for the right amount of money(wish i was joking and apologize for the much needed profanity o/)

Jail doesnt match the crime for DDoSing.  However, the fine is at least 10x too low.

I would say DDoSing a service that millions are paying for should be minimum 500K fine.

So actually this guy is getting off easy.

I believe in Reddit there was another link in addition to this story. The guy was a repeat offender, with one case involving the FBI. Either way ddos attacks are viewed as a loss of monetary. If he stopped one person from making a purchase it’s a loss, in addition to Blizzard’s cost for fixing/correcting the attack.

I'm glad this happened, why just this one case though? I'd like to see all cheaters and hackers locked up with hefty fines. Scum, all of t
This guy was neither a cheater or a hacker. DDoSing some server doesnt require hacking of any kind.
