Massive Multiplayer Online Game
300MBs of what it should mean.
it's a big file, and the action is speeded up, and it might not make much sense, but go with it.
Just remember - the red things and the flashing things are his enemies, the purple things are his friends. All represent real players.
Notice how quickly the battles turn and the enemy can be routed. Sometimes they fight toe-to-toe; sometimes they run in all directions. Sometimes they come back for a valiant last stand. It reminded me of pitched battles, medieval-style.
A fascinating insight into the high end gameplay of Eve, and well-produced too.

That sounds like your battle might be on there, from your description. The person doing the fraps is only interested in Battleships though - not much else ever appears in his overview!
I haven't done much of this fleet battling myself, but it's fascinating to watch the ebb and flow from this speeded up view. When the tide turns and the opposing fleet scatters in all directions, it reminds me of the little soldiers in Rome:Total War or some RTS like that!
It's inspirational, and the reason I linked it was that I thought it makes a great advert for Eve. But on the other hand, for it to actually inspire a new player to take up the game, you'd need a hell of a lot of explanation to go with it.
I don't know what people would like described in the video but one thing rarely seen in empire space but more commonly used in 0.0 are the mobile warp disruptors (the glowing sphere's referred to simply as bubbles) around the gate. So if you ever hear about a bubble camp, thats one there. They are used to counter insta bookmarks by stopping ships from appearing right next to the gate and stopping ships from warping until they are outside them.
The next point is that you can see ships in the main screen with 2 different coloured symbols. The red minus's represent players that you have a low standing towards. This is completely different to being at war. War declarations are only used if you want to shoot at each other in empire space. The purpleish colour are players on your side.
The last main thing I can see is that you will notice that only enemies appear on the overview and it is sorted by symbol so battleships appear at the top. Everything else has been removed to reduce lag. The player has probably also turned off the sound and several other things in the options as well.
