I've recently gotten a flurry of privacy update emails from just about everybody. I'm assuming this has to do with the new European privacy rules coming into force tomorrow. (I haven't read through all of these notices). What does it mean for the gaming world? Is it good or bad?

As for gaming, only one i think ive received was from Elite Dangerous (and maybe thats only because ive not played it for probably a year or 2 now).

That means those who just registered in the past on different websites and don't want to use them anymore and were lazy to unsubscribe or the process was ...annoying, well .. now the problem is solved Less spam is always good.
I would love to see a Law, where ALL websites needs to ask for your permission on an yearly basis to keep using your email and your personal data.

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.- FARGIN_WAR
