Does it count, if I stayed only for an hour Lineage then .
What it after that first hour that you got ganked and lost your weapon ? ;)
You only lose your weapon if you die as pk with a lot of karma. And you only turn pk if you kill neutral players without making them fight you back.

You now shit about pvp in Lineage.

Modern day MMO... Dark Age of Camelot, but I played Diablo and UO prior which are definitely not what most people would call an MMO today.

EvE is the best MMO I've ever played. If only they made a planet component

Since we are on the Eve topic...I wanted to play it too...i did play it too  and it sucks bad, every last part of the design is garbage,it is a 1/10 game. The game was a VERY low budget offering, lucky it ever made it out of the gates, the developer never imagined it would make much money but once they realized the scams they could pull off with ISK,it was money ion the bank.
In general ALL pvp games are a haven for cheating and the devs themselves, employees that work there can NEVER be trusted.
You know what else pvp brings>>>>CASH shops,RMT loads of black marks,if something is bad for gaming, pvp have it.Unbalanced pvp is worse yet,i have zero care for ANY game that has unbalanced pvp.

Asheron's Call Shadow Wars hooked me big time, I moved to Darktide shortly after, until realizing it wasn't actual PVP

The Realm (alpha/beta only).  You could get jumped by someone level 100 and they would one shot you and take your crap.  There were a handful that did this called the 100s I think.

After that, Meridian 59 (beta only).  Not very many people were PKs.  Then I ran into a guy call Lancelot Drithen.  (spelling?). . he had an alt called Drithen's fury who was almost the only PK on the server.  He was well known.  He recruited myself and a friend to join him and we created a group with the last name that he used as a convention in Neverwinter (AOL version).  Being a PK was HARD in that game.  people would mob and lynch you.

SWG, followed by Lineage 2. I only recently started playing non-pvp games as the PvP genre (from my personal experience) has turned into a cess poll of whiny entitled people that can't suffer a loss without screaming hacks and various other off-color phrases that I don't need to repeat.

I used to have a lot of fun in both of those games. Yeah, it was frustrating at times, but fun nonetheless. Now I stick to my almost single player games, like Conan Exiles on PvE servers. Still, a lot of whining but people tend to quit so often you don't have to listen to it for long.

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

Lineage for me, before that I played M59 but just PvE.

I had mixed feelings of Lineage PvP, there were a lot of ganking but I have to admit that some of my best PvP memories is from there as well.

There is not much incentive in Lineage for a guy to kill lowbies because as the pk count rises, it becomes very difficult to low your karma to clean your name, you can become a perma pk (high karma count and a lot of work/risk to turn it to 0).

But if you join a clan that is at war against one or several clans, then you can be ganked a lot by members of the enemy clans since the pk rules that prevent neutral/lowbie player gank don't apply for clan war.

My first ever PvP experience was being a PK killer in Diablo 1 in like 1997.  My first PvP MMO experience was in DAoC.  The game itself blew my mind.  Never played anything that had so many people together.  The PvP wasn't as toxic then either.  Which made it even more fun.

I'm that guy who plays for PvE but will play PvP games if I like their features.  I think my first was SWG.  Later, WOW, L2, Aion, and Eve were good and enjoyed them.

Vanguard on the Tharridon FFA PVP server.

From my prior experience in EQ1 and EQ2, the PvP servers always had a bad reputation among the PvE crowd. Which made me very scared initially to try it in Vanguard, but I quickly grew to love the added challenge and excitement that PvP added. And now I can't imagine playing a game like Vanguard w/o PvP. Those PvE servers must've been a real snooze fest.
