^ I agee with this guy. I would have liked to see this succeed..

Obviously with the lack of crucial information from NeoWiz, and the game failing in 3 other demographics I dodged the pre-order and let the suckers take the hit.

After seeing the reviews I knew I made the right choice.

I can see people finding a silver-lining with the game. I mean its not really my kind of game even if it was flawless since I see WoW pretty much executing the same thing with war mode potentially next month, but some people just want something "new." Heck, I felt half the story of WoD was worth the 50$ I paid for it at the time, so to each their own.

I also agree.  I'm disappointed that this game has done poorly and has been handled poorly by the developers, but I'm not happy about it at all.  It's a blemish on our hobby - yet one more failed/lackluster game, and with so many failures, who would want to invest in developing such a risky venture?  On one hand, I wonder just how many of these games in recent times have been successful.  On the other hand, I feel that there may be a huge void in the market for a quality, well-developed, well-run, community driven MMORPG.

So far, this company shot itself in the foot with the launch of this game.  It shot itself in the other foot when it omitted content from the game at launch without communicating it to paying customers.  I hope they can dig their way up.  Actually, they can only go up from here.

I'm having fun so far.  I find that if I ignore all of the negativity on many of the threads and in the forums and just concentrate on playing. It's fun.  You start reading all the negative stuff, and a kind of gestalt starts to form and brings everyone down.

The game looked like it might be a good game but it hasn't worked out that way so far.

The least the OP could have done is written out why they avoided the game. The way it is posted the thread should be taken down. It is a troll thread because it is merely to antagonise those players who are playing and serves no other purpose.

A few people above didn't need me to explain it. Common Gaming Sense dictated that. But if you insist on going off topic I will help you get back on topic....

Try googling "Bless Reviews and Mechanics". Hope that helps.

I almost bought it myself but then decided to look at feedback and reviews first.

I find all the criticism that Bless gets pretty hilarious. It is being treated like an ugly, unfunctional trainwreck which it really isn't. Games like Blade and Soul, Revelation Online etc. are much worse imo and graphical wise it looks slightly below ESO. Is it amazing? Nope. Is it solid with lots of room for (needed) improvement? Definitely.

And the whole EA discussion. Neowiz sells it as EA, unfinished and in development. Whether or not we find this fair or think EA has special rules like "game needs to be 95% finished" doesn't matter, this is what they present it as. Some just project different expectations on that and then whine it is all wrong.

Bless isn't the best thing ever, it is a somewhat unexciting, rather pretty game that struggles on an engine and management level. Some here make it look like Pathfinder Online, utterly ridiculous.

Well bought it myself  but did have it refunded 1 day after. Blade and soul and revelation online are also realy weak games , think eso is way higher standard production wise .

I would like to remind folks here about a truly wonderful and informative documentary piece found out there in the "internet universe" that tells the story of Square Enix and the almost miracle they achieved at saving what was back in 2010 consider an absolutely disaster of an mmo attempt!

I consider Final Fantasy 14 an artistic masterpiece. This documentary attempt to show creation-fail-then re imagining of the entire mmo. This is a fete few companies might attempt, with dedicated leadership, Square Enix physically saved that mmo.

watch if you have some time.

Maybe NeoWiz should spend time watching this documentary and then considering if what they "define" as an mmo is worth the effort that leadership at Sqauer Enix decided was most important.

Yeah, where they took a spiritual successor to FFXI and turned it into a 100% WoW clone....fuck ARR.

They did not save anything. They pulled the plug on the original Final Fantasy XIV and decided to play it safe and make a WoW clone. No disrespect by using the term WoW clone but that is what they did and even admitted to using WoW as the formula for the new game.

Now if they would have stuck with the original game and made it into a success then that would have been an amazing turn around. ;)

The people in the comments are just game hoppers anyways, they don't like the games they play... yet they are gamers... hence they hop around from 1 game to the next never finding the "perfect mmo"... the perfect mmo doesn't exist ok people... find something good enough for you and play it, I don't see any mmo out there that makes Bless look like a fail, if anything Bless is a combination of my favorite mm's so its good if ya ask me, yeah there are changes I def hope happen but its that or go play a game where I have that been there done that feeling, log into WoW only to be bored an hour later, log into FF1V only to be bore an hour later...… you get my point

They definitely are. Point is they didn't get no where near the flak that Bless is getting. I refunded after 1 day myself because my expectations were different, that was not the games fault, it was mine entirely and I am mature enough to blane myself instead of pointing fingers.
