UPDATE: EA / BioWare just announced that Anthem will be released on February 22, 2019.

Anthem News - Amazon's Italian site has leaked the potential release date for Anthem about an hour ahead of EA Play, the first of the major E3 pressers planned by all of the big publishers. The release date of the PlayStation 4, XBox One and PC title is potentially February 19, 2019.

    Date seems just about right. Honestly best to wait until after all the big autumn games hit (Black Ops 4, Battlefield V, BFA, Monster Hunter world on PC and the Destiny Expac) and people get burnt out. Curious to see more about it!

    They said the release date in the reveal at E3. Not a leak.

    Am I the only one who's more interested in how the micro-transactions will turn out vs the actual game?

    Both.  I consider the monetization method an integral part of the actual game as you put it.  I don't see a lotta benefit in separating them.  They both interact to provide the full experience.

    Anything that includes shallow, overpriced DLC does not provide a full experience. Do you remember the debacle that was Destiny 1? Gaming becoming mainstream was the absolute worst thing to happen to gaming. Period. All these Triple A developers releasing unfinished trash and then locking the rest of the game behind a paywall needs to end.

    Looks too much like Destiny and that's making me lose a lot of interest in it. Yeah, it's third person.. wow, big difference. Yeah, looks like you can fly.. we should be excited because no other games do that right? Right?

    Even the classes look the same but with one extra.

    We don't need another Destiny..

    They already said no loot boxes didn't they?

    I expect heavy MTs on the colours and "look" of your robot suits as well as weapon. Lots of fluff stuff they could add for MTs.

    I want to see normal people play the game in beta before I decide. I was excited about D2 but never got it, just was meh. I don't know how this will be "Better".

    Again they showed very little of the open world.
