Hold the phone... no premium pass for Battlefield 5?! Are they finally going to do the right thing and give map packs out for free, like they did once upon a time in Battlegield 4? So tired of this age of overpriced DLC that should’ve been included in the base game. Take me back to the late nineties/early 2000s of gaming. Back when games were made with passion instead of quick cash grabs to make millions of dollars easily.

Cannot believe EA brought back Command and Conquer only to make it into a mobile game. Are you kidding me? #NotMyCNC

Good to see no loot boxes in BF or Anthem, but remember they have only partial learnt a lesson there. They are still working on the "Service" side of games and will no doubt come up with something as bad as loot boxes in the future.

I doubt it but I really hope so. For any multiplayer game holding maps behind a paywall is bad business practice, I can't understand how they can be getting advised to hold them back. If you stop people playing in a multiplayer game you are shooting yourself in the foot.

For Battlefront 2 "A new squad system will be coming this summer to make it easier to play with friends". How the game never released with this ill never know.

Because adding basic social functions is part of that awesome "service" you're getting these days.

If only gamers we weren't so hyper-focused on how awesome the new graphics are, maybe more development money could be put towards filling out these systems instead of paying artists ridiculous sums of money to push the graphics envelope a tiny bit at a time.

The best FPS game I’ve played in a while with realistic combat is Rising Storm 2: Vietnam. There’s custom maps created for it by the community, and the best of those get added to the official playlist during big updates... all at no additional cost to you! You can spend money on cosmetics but you don’t get locked out of gameplay features. That’s how monetization should work. Not having paid DLC. You’ll get more money in the long run if you don’t treat your custom like shit and try to rip them off at every chance you get.

Personally, DLC isn't inherently a deal-breaker.  At the very least, DLC is straight up with the consumer: pay this amount, get this content.

It certainly can be abused.  Day one DLC is a pet peeves of mine, largely because creating a game is a huge endeavor, devs work their asses off, I'd like to see them get just a little bit of a break when they wrap up the original product, not immediately set back to work on additional content the pub wants to monetize on day one.

Anyone going to buy Madden for PC?

I was hoping in vain to playing it on Nintendo Switch, but the PC release, that I wasn't expecting.

IDK how I feel yet about playing Madden on a computer, seems like such a foreign concept. Still processing.
