We’ve been impressed by Cougar Gaming for quite some time. They’re a company who emphasizes premium features for a budget price. Today, we’re looking at their brand new Cougar Panzer EVO RGB tempered glass case. It’s gorgeous, but is beauty only skin deep? Gareth “Gazimoff” Harmer finds out in our official written/video review.

If you're on the hunt for your next build, Computex just unveiled even more new designs. I'm very taken by Cougar's Conquerer, which is a part-open design that's incredibly agressive.

I got a Rosewill THOR V2 for half that price (can go even lower nowadays) and it has similar (if not more) ventilation and space while also looking pretty good without RGB.
Aye, the Rosewill THOR is a full enclosure case. Cougar make an equivalent one - the Panzer Max, which weighs in at the same kind of price. For the EVO RGB, part of the price bump is the smoked tempered glass, and part is the RGB lighting. Whether that's worth the extra is up to you.

The standoffs help a huge amount, giving about half an inch between fan and glass. But that's also why three fans have been mounted in the front

The closest thing is the regular Panzer Evo that's $60 cheaper, but comes with red LED fans. Nothing to stop you swapping them out for your own preferred brand though.

Oh definitely. The View 71 is a great case (I love the stand they added to show off the GPU), but the problem with this style is that the glass tends to work as a baffle, which isn't great for noise. There's a clear trade-off to be had, and it depends entirely on what works best for you.
