in Final Fantasy XI

I have just bought this game for teh pc and to my suprise a m8 told me i need a world pass for me and my brother to play same server wat is this and how much does it cost

    There is a slight possibility that you and your brother will be put on the same server. But if you don't, the world passes are in game. You pay game money for the passes and such. Here is a link to a small guide on using them. http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/guides.html?guide=154

    When you start out, and you don't end up on the same server (like my husband and I didn't), you might be better off asking for a world pass for both of you.  If one of you buys a World Pass for the other, you'll have to spend some time farming crystals, rabbit hides, beehive chips, or something similar in order to afford it. 

    What I ended up doing was going around to some forums and asked for a World Pass.  It took alittle while to find an active forum in which someone replied, but it saved a bunch of time I would have spent otherwise farming at low levels for gil.  I don't remember which forum it was, as it was awhile ago...but a simple google search should bring up a bunch of sites to check.
