So Elite Lords of Alliance failed mainly cause of pay to win and bad micro transactions and changing the name will fix that? And behind it is Webzen?

    Is this a mobile port?

I would say Webzen contributed to the first failure because they went overboard with the amount of servers at launch spreading player population too thin and then merging them when it was already too late. Webzen as a publisher also does lousy p2w micro transactions which did not help. The second publisher that took it over seemed to expect players to magically find the game so not surprised it failed quickly under them. During all this, some of the main designers were moved off ELOA to other projects.

It is not a mobile port. The original developer Npicsoft ended up licensing the ELOA property and source to Playwith so Webzen and GnG are out of the picture. Playwith is self publishing and had to hire their own programmers. Trying to deal with code you didnt design or write can be a minefield though.

Here is the flabbergasting kicker I found when reading recent threads on their Steam discussion hub. There's this post made LAST WEEK showing the Korean version of the game was SHUTDOWN on July 11. Whisky-Tango-Foxtrot!

Playwith did all of that addressing player concerns Q&A in June but they are MIA now about the Korean version shutting down just before the Steam EA launch. Playwith couldnt even manage 1 year with the game in Korea, you know, their home country and they expect this will last any longer? Seriously, most all of these Korean game companies only see the western market as a final dumping ground for their mediocre performing or end of life games to suckers who are too eager to give them money in return.
