World of Warcraft News - If you thought the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor marketing campaign that featured a gigantic axe seemingly plunged into the roadways in Time Square was unique and different, think again. Last night, Blizzard hosted a Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide wrestling match to promote Battle for Azeroth that featured Psycho Clown and Electro Shock, each appropriately decked out in factional colors.

    new lows for a company that was once great. The great minds are out- the leftovers are those that produce this garbage. Pretty much sums the audience the game aims for.

    You guys are a bunch of negative Neds. I mean...it's all in good fun! Companies put their names on wrestling matches all the time. This is no different than any other sports event being "sponsored by".

    This shows they're out of ideas.

    The new expansion is mostly a pvp one, pass. I chose a pve server for a reason. I did not wish to play with the players that are usually attracted to a pvp server.

    The main new feature is basically just the /pvp command that was already in the game!

    Those new races are mostly either npcs that are already in the game, or just reskins.

    It's a 16 year old title. By now they're just tapped out of ideas. This ad campaign shows it.

    Sad really. You can tell the old guard are no longer there.

    My sub runs out in 6 days. Waiting until Tuesday to see what the reason the tree gets burned. If it's lame, then I'm moving back over to ESO. I just can't get my mind wrapped around going from saving the universe to ANOTHER spat with the opposite faction. I know it's World of Warcraft, but it just feels...I don't know, pathetic, or forced, or I don't know the right word. Desperate...I don't know. I'll end up going back because WoW does theme parks better than anyone and I have friends in WoW from Vanilla days, so it's kinda a mood swing for me.

    ITS NOT A PVP X PAC lol stop regurgitating crap you read. Theres more pve added to an already mostly pve game the pvp. Lol, get your facts straight first.

    Lol a bunch of online gamers looking down on wrestling.. Of all the things to complain about I don't know how this is one of them. Don't know if id call it innovating.. More along the lines of unique and weird lol. 

    Love the whole "Ohh this'll ruin our reputation!" Hate to break it to you guys but your reputation isn't where you think it is. Sorry.

    This is how i feel, I really think its time for Blizzard to bring in some new blood. I guess as long as they are making money that will never happen though.

    I don't think anyone is making fun of wrestling but to me i dont see the correlation of Mexican wrestling to Azeroth's conflict, It's just a childish and stupid to meld these two together , to me at least. I think alot of people feel like the current people involved in WOW are really out of idea's and creativity. Its one thing to create boring content and promotions its another thing entirely to create content and promotions that dont make sense.

    You guys do realize WoW already has wrestling costumes and mini-game as part of the Day of the Dead event, it was added years ago.

    I think it's a fun idea. I don't know why so many people are against fun ideas. Just because Lucha Libre battles aren't your cup of tea doesn't mean it isn't fun for people who enjoy it.

    Wrestling is still huge, even if it is looked down upon, people still pay tons to go see it.
