North American World of Warcraft players can now head into the game to take part in the first chapter of the War of Thorns, the pre-event setting up the Battle for Azeroth expansion that will launch on August 14th. The War of Thorns content will be split out over the next three weeks as the tensions escalate between Horde & Alliance.

This is an unintended issue I think. I suspect they'll change it, but I kinda hope they don't. What's the one thing everyone hates? Getting ganked/camped. More lowbies get ganked/farmed = less PVP when folks give up/quit/etc. WoW is not a PVP game...it's a PVE themepark with occasional opt in pvp matches. Warmode isn't going to change that. PVPer's can't help themselves. The IF IT'S RED IT'S DEAD crowd gonna IF IT'S RED IT'S DEAD it to death.
Nope, this is not happening... because:
1. You can't enable War Mode at level 10 so I'm questioning if you've even played it.
2. I've been levelling a new character and have played War Mode exclusively since level 20 (when you can enable it) and I have not once been one shot by anyone nor seen or heard of anyone getting one shot by anyone.
3. I have beaten max level players on a number of occasions. Everyone does.. they got the scaling right.
4. This one is going to really kick you in the nuts (if you got 'em) because you probably didn't know about it: Lower level players only have to damage 'half' the amount of a max level player's health to kill them. Since there's a stat squish, lower level player's have a massive advantage because of this which pays off more than higher levels having access to more skills. In the beta, level 110-119 character's were actually stronger than a level 120 in every way. Like, seriously, a level 120 would be scared to engage them. The lower levels were ganking the higher levels. This may change though, not sure.
War Mode is not the same as flagging for PvP. You might want to watch some youtube videos about it or something if you want to understand what it is because, right now, you don't understand it.
You can get zerged/ganked by 'groups'.. but that's hardly avoidable in any open world PvP. Max level players can get zerged/ganked by a group of lower level players too... and they do, regularly. Totally fair game.
Rogues can perma-stun you at the moment though, which needs fixing. At least, they can stun you for so long that you will always end up dead no matter what.
Find a War Mode levelling community if you really are playing. If you're PvPing on your own in a massively multiplayer game, you are going to get killed by groups of people who are being more sociable than you. It's a no brainer.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Shame, really. I'll play it on one H and one A character and the rest will hopefully be able to skip the prepatch stuff when the expansion launches.

Seems the "slutmog" has gone to a new level in this visual bug on some character models.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Please keep bitching about it while you are most likely still playing it..

What are these issues? I'm on EU so I don't have the latest update yet.. but so far all I've noticed are a few class balance issues, mainly fury and rogues being extremely OP in PvP at max (but it's not really max since it's balanced for 120 now, might be fine).
Genuinely asking, I'm levelling a new character so I may not be seeing them.
I had a lot of addon issues and still have problems with a couple.. My garrison addon was causing a constant Error #132 crash.. so I've switched to a different one. That's my only issue so far really. Hardly Blizzard's fault.
Up to this launch, most of Blizzard's patches and expansions have arrived relatively problem-free. The stat squish hurt a lot of stuff, though it's not just limited to that.
This time, it's all just a mess of issues. What's worrisome is that they are aiming for a simultaneous worldwide launch for the first time in WoW's history.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I do believe you mean "You filthy casual!"

Hawt.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
I agree. I played the new quest on the Alliance side and is was very underwhelming and the ending was too abrupt. Fight some Horde. Save some trees. The end.

I remember the article you wrote a while back, and you speculated to that end. The more I think about it, the more I think that's the most likely scenario. While every game studio releases bugged content (thank goodness we're not on dial up downloading a Morrowind patch anymore), it isn't Blizzard's M.O., and it never has been. I wouldn't say the state of 8.0 is concerning as much as it is puzzling for me. To anyone that has actually been following BfA's development, it's obvious that the period leading up to release has been shortened compared to past expansions. Since Blizzard doesn't have a history of catering to investors or their publisher at the expense of their games, I can only conclude that they must want the focus off of WoW in time for a planned announcement or release. I really have to wonder what that is. BlizzCon might be a good one to watch this year.
