This would be a lot more interesting if Destiny 2 hadn't made it clear Bungie had no one left that knew squat about their own lore or that they cared about the lore community at all.

I mean, hell, for a while they claimed the Grimore wasn't cannon and each expac so far has included massive retcons galore while not moving the story -- if there can even be said to be one -- forward one iotta. What even is the lore at this point? And never mind that we still don't know squat about "The Light", "The Darkness", "The Traveler", or pretty much anything of any real import in the world. It's all just "stuff" that happens for "reasons".

Now go out and kill stuff because a floating voice tells you to, space zombie.

Comparing how much DE has advanced the story, history, and lore in Warframe compared to what Bungie has done with Destiny is depressingly telling.

This is what happens when you make a game and at no point think about story and lore. if anyone did bring it up they probably said "We can stick that on after if the game is a success." Well you can, but expect it to make little sense.

Any game is better with story and lore, but I don't see the gaming industry waking up to this any time soon.

If they have spoken with Blizzard and end up writing books like the Warcraft chronicles I'd be interested in this. But somehow I expect this to just be the collected works of all the grimoire crap (personal opinion)tm which bored me in the games.

$25 is rather a lot. I suppose it has some nice artwork that adds to its value, but still.

EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests

The design on the photo looks impressive. I guess it's worth buying if you're a fan, just like other games art books.
