For some reason my other thread got deleted... I do not even see why it is wrong
It is an interview with a Gold Farmer a site did Interview Pretty nice read. The farmers actually like the games? Weird just thought they needed a job.
Of coarse they like the games, its their cash cow. Doesnt matter what damage they do to the game, they get paid. Greedy and inconsiderate bastages. If you could make hundreds of dollars a week, and I think thats being a bit low on the cash flow, you'd like it too. I wouldnt be a bit surprised that theres a few high end guilds on some games that do the farming and selling of currency themselves, thats why their the top dogs on their servers. They've been there did that and making money at the same time LOL, now Im marked for death for that comment
I think I am one of the only ones without a negative opinion for farmers. I think they are allowing people in the US to have lives rather then sitting thier and spending 100 hours farming themselves to enjoy the game. Its a service; and because you have to play to offer this service it isn't as damaging on the economy as if Blizzard sold the gold itself. Also its providing people with an OK lifestyle. As long as they don't use automated bots its fine in my opinion.
Sad. That video of the Chinese farmers brought back a memory of when I first started playing MMOs and got wrapped up in Shadowbane so much that I started ignoring the doorbell, phone, exercise, food, sunlight, children, wife....life. Sad. It just makes me sad. I wish the best for those fellas over in CHina even though they maybe ruining the economy of the games I play. I think they are wasting away their life and might not catch it in time.
Just thoughts from a guy balancing entertainment within life.
