One thing is certain: after playing the next part of the Alliance pre-patch quests, both Anduin and Sylvanas cannot remain in their respective positions. One will have to be removed and/or killed. Anduin almost literally says as much.
There is a short story/comic called Anduin: Son of the Wolf from right before Legion showing Anduin as an old man - leading the light with Velen far in the future. He's not going anywhere. No matter what, Anduin will survive.
I have another question regarding gnomes as I am a big fan. How come blizzard refuses to acknowledge them in their animated shorts, expansion cinematic or movie . Are they made up silly lore like the panderia panda everyone hates. I mean gnomeran has been around since Vanilla .
Gnomes have been in Warcraft since Warcraft 2 but they have never been a major part of the overall story.
They've just never been given a significant hero or role in the lore.
When I first went to Undercity and saw her and Varimathrus it was such a key moment . You never played an undead ?
If you played WoW you should know her. Her story is so unforgettable. She was a nightelf nvm....
That must have been before BC came out and we got BE models. She was a Blood Elf before Arthas made her Undead. So she is an undead elf not an undead human, which is why she looks like an elf. There are other undead elves as well - mostly those Dark Rangers you see sometimes. They're all the same as Sylvanas - former Blood Elf rangers that were part of the Farstriders, led by Sylvanas.

No I've never played an undead. As I mentioned another post I've been playing since vanilla one toon have completed pretty much every major raid up to cata and then after that raids here and there. I'm not a noob and I'd like to think that I'm very good at my class. I did void tank 3 Drake's and raided with some of the better guilds on my server at the time but I'm just clueless when it comes to the lore and the story

I always read everything I can on lore and I enjoy reading back stories. I think writers love people like me. I devour anything I can find and I enjoy seeing them in game and knowing what they have done and how they got where they are. To me it is an essential part of the game.

Gelbin Mekkatorque is kinda significant, kinda. He shows up in some of the Legion quests, at least. He does wacky shit in the Stormheim campaign, though his inclusion is pretty brief.
I would agree that Gnomes as a whole don't get much recognition.

Gnomes and Goblins are kinda left out. They both remind me of the absent minded scientist and inventors who don't care who is in power as long as their interest can carry on... true as far as the goblins go as far as their trade interest go.
