Blizzard Opens Pre-Orders for First Diablo-Themed Comic - Diablo 3 - MMORPG.com

Diablo 3 News - Not long ago, we learned that a Diablo-themed comic series was going to be released by Blizzard. In a new post on the Diablo Twitter, Blizzard has revealed the cover art for the first issue that will be available on November 7th. Fans can order the first issue (out of four) through Comixology.

With Assassin's Creed: Origins comic the digital loot/item code was only available with the hard copy edition NOT the digital edition. AC: O comic was by Titan who I believe is also publishing the D3 one.

I'm looking forward to this. We'll probably get a digital review copy but I will buy the hard copy as well. Marv Wolfman is big time writer, color me excited :-)

I don't know... all this D3 related stuff for me doesn't spell D4 or anything else, but an expansion for D3 which is... really bad. I'll be honest. D3 is really lackluster. In my opinion from all the Blizz games D3 is probably the worst, so making an expansion won't make it any better unless they change the game completely and if they are going to do a complete change they might as well release D4.

I think it’s too late for an expansion. There has been way too much silence between the release of the necro and now. There really should be something special for Diablo. It’s been neglected since Overwatch.

Grinding Gear Games is still "working for money." Part of what makes them attractive is to release updates for no money so you can still play and pay for other things.

Blizzard is a publicly traded company and they need to make money for their investors. That's what publicly traded companies do (why does this have to be explained - oh yeah "gamerz").

And publicly traded companies can't sit on their laurels, they need to find different revenue streams and maximize their profits.

Blizzard keeps players paying with very fun games, very polished games and given the player numbers for their offerings they do a good job of it.

They abandoned the 2nd expansion years ago, that's where Kanai's cube and several new zones came from. I'm 99% sure they will announce a D2 remaster and 50/50 on them announcing their D4/DMMO project at Blizzcon.
