imageNext Update to Include New Warden Class - Blade & Soul - MMORPG.com

Blade & Soul News - Blade & Soul will be getting a big update on September 12th called Warden's Fury, the patch will include the Warden playable class as well as the "next Act in the epic story arc" plus a new dungeon. Players who had a registered account before today will receive a free Wandering Swordsman Pack when the class launches that includes a lot of handy items for players ready to raise their new Warden.

    From Wikipedia, A warden is a person who has been entrusted with the oversight of something important to the community, such as a college, church, prison, wild game or firefighting.

    They may be trying to imply that this order of characters are something of a lawbringer faction. Wardens have been a semi-popular character type in MMOs ever since Maiev Shadowsong in Warcraft.

    That said, it's probably just named that because "Warden" sounds cooler and less generic than "Warrior." It's one of those classes like "Strider," which just sounds more exotic and badass than the more typical "Ranger."
