I never hated it? I just disliked TOA and thought it was a waste of cash. Im poor half the time and wasting 30 bucks on that expansion was a drag...HZ too.

My guild beleives it is silly to hunt for TOA loot when we can buy it quite easily. Out guild money pool is well over 3 mythril. Constantly drained though....so constantly drained...lol
How am I gimping myself? Darkness Falls is soooooo much more efficient and the sea is dangerous with aggroes outa the wazoo.

I went back to DAOC too, for the same reason: Horizons just didn't do it for me. Sad thing is, today the EQ2 class tree was revealed, meaning that beta is soon to begin. EQ2 can be just three months away for us now. Why, oh why, did I buy that silly Trials of Atlantis expansion and reactivate my DAOC account? With all these new "stopgap" MMORPG's, I'm wasting an average of $50 per month in waiting for something like EQ2 to come along.

The items found within toa only that cannot be traded.
Such as the artifcats and quest armours.
Not to forget to mention the Mastery skills. (They speak themselves)
Ask the majority of those presently subscribed with a copy of TOA and experienced with the expansion, you will find they are more than happy with it.
There are the few however, who think otherwise.

I have DAoC but i never play it. All this game is, a levelling treadmill. The tradeskills aren't worth doing, quests aren't fun. And from dieing each day going back to the same exp has drawn me away from the game.

if you were dying everyday taking you back to where you started... why didnt you hunt something easier or find someone to group with so that wouldnt happen?
All mmorpg's are leveling treadmills.. name one that doesnt involve the concept.
The quests are fun and worth doing if you wish to excel in the game. The trade skills speak for themselves, especially in spellcrafting to enhance your armour and weapons and for some quick cash metalworking...
Perhaps you need to spend more time with the game and truely get familiarised with its potential?

I have for almost 2 months... The World is boring, all just trees. I could play this game blindfolded for all i care. The tradeskills aren't fun at all. The main point for a tradeskills to to make money off it, yet. You have to have tons and tons of gold to actually get up levels.
I just find it really boring, i would even prefer SWG over this, or even runescape.
We're talking about someone who has played DAOC for only 2 months. You said back in previous posts you had played for more than that. If you had been paying attention you would have realised that. Yet once again you post something that bares no consequence to this game. I told you before I am no longer going to take you seriously in this subject as you refuse to show any seriousness when it comes to this game and contradict yourself repeatedly within other posts. Refer to the past 3 weeks of your posts.
What's really funny is I am a "Hard Core Member" at 35 Posts. How many do you have?
rathma, maybe you should find another game to play. DAOC isn't for everyone.

Actually I am lucky enought have played this games since its orginally Beta and even to this day. Dont belive me? Look in that orginal DAOC handbook See the lead Zerker tester. :P
This game has come so far and it suffers from the same crapola that ANY game does. EQ is pretty but its all about monster KIlling/ DAOC the same / SWG is sorry to say not any better. Why? couse there is nothing ion the world. It just A pretty social gathering of people that like SW.

Such a tradgedy. TOA is a remarkable edition to the series and by not participating in it, you severly handicap your character(s).

I ran SWG okay on my machine (the week I actually played it), so I think EQ2 would run okay.
AMD 2000, GeForce 4 128MB card, 1 Gig Ram, etc.

Hopefully forever now. I don't want to have to say bye to my guild mates again. I went LD alot and it slowly turned me off to the game once again.
