This came out of absolutely nowhere, and it has blown my mind out of proportion.

When the game releases it will be bad for my real life and career.

It looks too good to be true. Its not just some of the features and the general world building but take the full nudity for example, can a game in this day and age even release like that?

Guess I'm the odd man out :) Looks ok, but nothing special. It doesn't grab me personally in any way, shape or form. Then again, not too fond of FPS. I was hoping for something more to convince me to buy it despite not having 3rd person. This might really not be the game for me. Oh well. I’ sure others will have their fun.

They can, but many publishers chose to not release games in a state that fell in to Pegi18, ESRB(Adult Only) categories, as it reduced player base and large portion of potential revenue with it.

However that's a bit of a dated case, as the initial cause for this is stores not willing to hold stock of adult rated products for shelves. With majority of gaming content being digital these days, it is not much of a concern any longer.

Conan exiles was censored on consoles. And dont forget its an early access title by a company that barely has any reach.
Watch Dogs 2 had nudity for example, it too was censored after the outrage almost got the game removed from shelves. Again, i think your underestimating the kind of impact something like this might have.

Games like Call of Duty: WWII and Assassin's Creed Origins are PEGI 18.

Getting Adult Only in USA is a problem, but in Europe games can get rated 18 just for things like violence and bad language, and since the rating doesn't mean "this game has sex" it has much less impact on sales.

EDIT: Witcher 3 was also PEGI 18

Read more advanced genetics and neo-natal research.  There's a range of in-between states, based on a number of different origins.  Literally hundreds of thousands in the USA alone.

On the other hand, for game purposes, simplest to go with two to start, and have the alternatives be cyber'd up.

The environmental and NPC detail alone is astonishing not to mention the complexity and depth of enhancements and gear.

Only other game this reminds me of a bit is Deus Ex and Cyberpunk blows it out of the water.

My only fear, and it's minor one, is that getting plopped down into such a detailed world will feel like you really did just step into something extremely complex with no clues. Could be a really steep learning curve unless they really nail the early tutorial missions.

Looks fantastic, a really detailed interesting game world to play around in. One thing I'd like to see is the scope of how different choices will affect things, will it be a proper branching story or will it just be an alternative path to the same goal.

You are correct there are many genetic deformities in this world.  I wish my character had a dead fetus sticking out of its head.

Looks more action - not so RPG, which is a disappointment for me. Combat seems standard fare first person shooter, I mean it doesn't even have any new or super cool elements, it seemed very safe.

The graphics looks good, but the characters seems super shallow and 2 dimensional. Hopefully they can fix that.

Also the voice over work seems pretty uninspired and the dialogue is pretty dull. I know they are trying to nail cyberpunk RPG vibe but i am not feeling their spin on it so far.

I guess the best way I can describe it - it feels forced.

Hopefully they still have time to fix all this.

It is forced. The style is very tongue in cheek. It's like an exaggerated sci-fi stereotype of every sci-fi stereotype. I also think it's heavily influenced by anime sci-fi. Loads about this demo makes me think of Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell.

You just gotta embrace it and enjoy it. That's what this is. No point wanting it to be something else now.

Looks decent to me, i wanna see Night City during night time to get my dose of Bladerunner.

Hmm, i understand the concerns about the game but considering this game is heavily inspired by Mike Pondsmith, Cyberpunk 2020 doesn't suprise me the tone and the edgy side of it, if it were any other developer making the game, i would be skeptical too but CDPR has proven their worth so far, so i'll take their word for it (for now at least), that will have the same (if not superior) quality as The Witcher 3.

I don't really agree with you. Near the end of the video there's bouncing bullets off walls, hacking enemy weapons, melee, wall running, wall hanging, double jumping, shooting through cover, destructible cover, movable cover, homing bullets and the slow motion they use a lot early on as well.

That's a pretty crazy mixture of almost everything we've seen in every other FPS and amounts to a lot of options, just in this demo.

We saw that the slow mo was caused by a consumable and/or mod. There's bound to be more that we haven't seen.

The only FPS that comes to mind that has more options than those listed is Borderlands because of the crazy character classes and skill trees.

    This was pretty awesome.

One pain point... does anybody else feel like the excessive language sounded super try hard edgelord stuff? They need to work on that dialogue. It sounds like a kid cursing for the first time when their parents aren't around.
