It's hard to believe, but it has been a decade since the release of the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King cinematic trailer, "Arthas". The news came via Neal Acree's Twitter where he wrote, "Almost missed the fact that the Arthas, My Son cinematic was released 10 years ago last week. Still one of my favorites. Did you know that we originally recorded a male tenor for the main melody before opting to use a boy soprano?"

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We had a group of 4 and the highest level toon was a level 21 pally. We face rolled that dungeon and it left a real shitty taste in my mouth. Ruined a lot of enjoyment of the game for me.
Why did you have to destroy all that content Blizz? Why couldn't you have just added a fast forward button for those who didn't want to level their alts.
I personally quit the game because of the butchered and nerfed leveling experience.

So now i just watch videos because liek many ,we like watching them,i wil critique what i see as far as effort.
This one is slightly above average, nothing special, like the scene where we just see a leg is kind of cheap. The opening is just a still shot with some smoke animation, nothing skillful or exotic sort of subpar.
The video got much better but they did stick with the simple color scheme to make sure it worked when showing tons of the characters below the dragon.
Looking back for that time era,it's ok i guess, nothing amazing.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Everyone quote this guy. Great troll post. Nothing more. Move on please.
It's often featured in top ten lists of the best game trailers ever. I guess anyone who doesn't see it's worth just doesn't have a good grasp on film as an art form.
Sadly, I was disappointed with how little the Lich King actually featured in the game itself.
I wonder if the makers of the TV series sort of copied this... since The Night King isn't actually in the books (except as a legend).
Yeah... People talked about it a lot when the season 7 final released.
Here is a side by side comparison,
Blizzard was just so much ahead of time that they copied GoT before it even released.
True reminded me GoT as well but even 10 years ago when I was actually playing this expac I thought that Blizzard actually copied Lord of the Rings as the Lich King looks very very alike to Sauron. Everytime I see this video I think of LOTR but now after watched GoT it does remind me that too.
:O I spent every night with him from 8-12pm 24 and 10 man heroics for nearly 8 months! Lol
And then of course, Arthas, Lich King, wrapping up that story was something I had been waiting for since Warcraft 3 - was kind of sad when it ended ;p
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
I'm dabbling with BfA now, or I really should say Legion since my highest level toon is 107. I'm liking the new combat changes, I hated the changes they made at the end of WoD.
A lot of things going on right now (good things). Leaves me with little time for gaming at the moment. Fall should bring an improvement to my gaming time.

an Expansion where i played for more than 2 years, every single god damn day for at least 8 hours.. the feeling of seeing 40++/60 guild members that were online during the same day because we all wanted to get to the max level asap, the expansion where we still saw so many active players, and an actual nice global chat.
you will be forever remembered, WOTLK, the 2 best expansion of WoW history including TBC
So What Now?
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way—in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
