Industry Games has announced a new entry into the battle royale genre with Zeus' Battlegrounds. The game is a melee battle royale with 100+ players taking part in a "last one standing" fight set in the time of Olympus and the Greek Gods. Players can take part in solo queue or team play "where you assume the role of a Demigod collecting Godlike Gear and Legendary Weapons" to defeat all comers.

    I'm kinda burned out with the BR genre already but at least this one seems to have a bit of originality put into it, unlike most of Fortnite or PUBG clones out there *cough Culling 2 cough*.

    Graphically it looks okay, not sure how much of it was assets available for free. Definitely needs animation work. But the idea is kind of nice. I wouldn't mind playing a BR game in this era.

    Same company that made that King's RPG game, forget its name. It tanked and quick when it released farrrrrrr too early. This looks similar. Not expecting much from this

    Go back further. What about the Pong formula, the Mario Formula, the street fighter formula, the guitar hero formula, any big games formula. Do you remember how many clones of Mario there were? How many companies tried to make a platformer with a mascot that could potentially be attached to a console? 

    People need to realize, any time a game is big, in any sense, people will try to jump in and make a similar game.

    It just shows it is a money driven market, much like the music and movie industries.....They dont do anything original, just copy what sells.

    So, is a melee based combat BR but you can use bows and throwing weapons, fuck logic.

    AVOID! They abandoned Kings and Heroes for a F2P game?

    That game could have been excellent, if they ironed out the superfluity of bugs and technical issues...shame on some developers these days, they get no dignity from me!
