Hey guys, I'm looking for a JRPG on PC (maybe Steam or GOG) that has a good story and isn't terribly difficult. Something turn-based is ideal. Any ideas? Thanks!
The best JRPG to release recently is Octopath Traveler. Unfortunately, its not on PC but the Switch. Cosmic Heroine is a good one. Many others were already mentioned by @Blueturtle13@Torval .
If you haven't played some of Square(soft)s best gems like Chrono Trigger, FF 4, FF 6 etc. They are definitely worth playing. You can even pick them up for you phone/tablet.

Some of the good ones have already been mentioned by others.
I personally love Disgaea series.

Final Fantasy series is also the big one to try.
Valkyria Chronicles is an absolute must play too. This is a fantastic game I personally recommend highly.

DragonQuest is also something you should consider.

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

Oops, looks like reading about these dodgy titles the other posters suggested made me make a typo it is meant to be:
